President Donald Trump expected to sign an executive order Tuesday instructing the Department of Government Efficiency to plan for cuts to federal workforce staffing numbers.
the mag'as are going to find out pretty quick when they start getting pink slips from Uncle Sam. Good. They need to get hurt, lose their homes and cars because of Trump. We need this to happen in order to heal the nation.
Musk admits he lies to to you all. But you will still let him get you hot and bothered. You absolute morans.
Reporter: You cited $50 million worth of condoms sent to Gaza as fraud, but fact-checking showed it was actually Gaza and Mozambique for HIV prevention. Musk: First of all, some of the things I say will be incorrect. Nobody is gonna bat 1000. (Eric Trump repeated this lie—he claimed it was $100 million—last night on Fox News.)
He admits he got incorrect information. He can’t fact check everything himself. He won’t bat 1.000 and I agree with him, and we shouldn’t be sending $50M in condoms to any other country when we have $36T in debt.
Musk is very transparent, he’s far from a slick politician, and I think it’s refreshing. Politicians would make something up and not admit they were incorrect.
I have to admit, it’s really weird watching him stand there with his son on his shoulders, but I think the intent is good.
I know this is going to fall on deaf ears of the left, and that’s okay. I think we can all agree that billions are mismanaged at the federal level annually, surely if you’ve worked at a corporation with more than a couple thousand employees you’ve seen it on some scale. Who knows how much is actual fraud and how much is incompetence.
Classic authoritarianism. The WH is trying to grind news orgs beneath its heel. This is how they all do it. Putin, Stalin, Orban, Hitler, Erdogan. This is what the Republican Party voted for. Sick and degenerate.
The WH has already kicked the NYT and other real newspapers out of the pentagon. Expect a lot more wars on journalism.
You absolute morans.
Associated Press:
Today we were informed by the White House that if AP did not align its editorial standards with President Donald Trump’s executive order renaming the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America, AP would be barred from accessing an event in the Oval Office. This afternoon AP’s reporter was blocked from attending an executive order signing.

Elmo absolutely cvcked the holy bajeebus out of trump on national TV!! 😂
Does Musk have a speech impediment? I can't say I've heard him speak lately and the stammering way he spoke was new to me.
But these guys, they're just morons. They keep talking about FRAUD but what they're finding isn't fraud, it's just Congress-approved spending they don't like. And the really stupid thing about that is that if you look at the Congress, Republicans have had the majority 50% of the last eight years. So they approved this spending.
I know this is going to fall on deaf ears of the left, and that’s okay.
In fairness, there have been quite a bit more calm, level-headed posts in this discussion thread from "the left" than there have been from "the right."
Please, don't get me wrong. Both sides have been culpable on numerous occasions, but I couldn't let that comment pass without a sanity check.
Banning legitimate news sources for made up reasons and the idiot above you is claiming that Trump/Musk administration is being "transparent". You don't get rid of everyone in government oversight, kick workers out of the building, bring in a team of outsiders with who have no security clearance to access classified information, then kick out the press unless you are hiding things. Not Transparent by any stretch of the imagination.
Fox, NY Post, etc. are reporting whatever Musk says about government spending as fact without any checking. Of course X is doing the same. The dolts believe without question as if there is no conflict of interest here.
Freedom of speech is being killed in America before our eyes and the idiots are cheering.

Fair enough, I haven’t gone through much of the thread. I’m basing that assumption from other threads that become ridiculous on both sides
I’m pretty moderate (I think), not religious, fairly pro-choice, pro-marijuana, and don’t own a gun.
Yes, I’ve seen plenty of “owning the libs” comments from the hard right and that is completely counterproductive to civilized discourse. I truly agree most of us want 90+% of the same result, we just have different opinions on how to get there.

$59 million for illegals in New York, $20 million to create Sesame Street in Iraq, and $2 million for sex changes and “LGBT activism” in Guatemala were approved by congress? Link?
On a related note it's great to have a secure border(s) again. ICE and border patrol are working hard. Hard work, fired up, hard work
Trump said "He is going to own Gaza." He thinks it' his money, not the taxpayers.
Sounds like you have a double standard.
Not sure what you’re confused about? Trump can own Gaza and use his own money or private funding like he always does. He does not need taxpayer money fool. You definitely need to read the book. The Chinese buy Hawaii, Trump buys Gaza. The Palestinians will love it
You’re describing the sitting President using his office to facilitate a personal real estate deal.

Please give us a link for the spending items and numbers you cited.
Arrests and deportations of undocumented people are lower than what President Donald Trump has promised, and that is “driving him nuts,” one source told NBC News.
He admits he got incorrect information. He can’t fact check everything himself. He won’t bat 1.000 and I agree with him, and we shouldn’t be sending $50M in condoms to any other country when we have $36T in debt.

I don't think the question is whether or not billions are "mismanaged at the federal level annually." As you pointed out, "if you've worked at a corporation with more than a couple thousand employees you've see it on some scale."
Of course there is waste and fraud within an organization the size of the US government. That is like saying that grass is green or the sky is blue. Two years from now I guarantee there will be waste and fraud within the US government. Same for 20 years from now. Same for 6 years ago when Trump was POTUS.
The question is whether you think that Trump/Musk will do more harm than good with DOGE. Also, do Trump/Musk give a sh!t about actually doing some good? Ultimately, what is in it for them vs what is in it for the US?
To state that there is "waste and fraud" and therefore Musk/Trump are doing great things is idiotic at best.

What makes you believe that the borders are secure? Got any proof?

I didn’t say they are doing great things, but I think they have the right idea.
A) Expose the waste and fraud, not just acknowledge that there must be waste and fraud.
B) Put better systems in place to combat future waste and fraud
C) Eliminate bloated parts of the government that we can still operate well without.
Will it work? I’d like to think they can make progress in the right direction, but it’s worth a shot.
Its’s not that different than identifying wasteful spending in your own household and deciding do I need that $75 YouTubeTV subscription, $25 Netflix, $15 Hulu, $10 Apple+, $129 Prime, $150 gym membership, $150 meal delivery service, $200 lawn service, $100 pest service, etc. All seem rational on their own, but they add up to a big number in the aggregate.
I personally think Elon doesn’t need or want more money, and I think Trump wants to leave a positive legacy. Maybe that’s naive, but that’s my current viewpoint. We will see how this plays out.

Tell me, when did Trump demonstrate any interest in doing anyone any good other than himself? Serious question - I really have never seen that.
And the notion that Elon doesn't need or want more money is pretty far fetched. One trait that the uber rich tend to have in common is that obscene levels of wealth are never, ever enough.
Do you think it is a good idea to have someone who has and continues to benefit enormously from government contracts be in charge of deciding which government contracts constitute waste and fraud? Do you think that the first thing an honest broker, trying to reduce waste and fraud would do would be to fire all IGs? How about destroy the ability of the IRS to go after tax cheats? How about remove everyone at the DOJ and FBI who does not state that the election 2020 was stolen?
Can you say with a straight face that the Trump/Musk team is more likely than not trying to make the US government work better and more efficiently?

Government workers vote about 90% Democrat. I see why you always lose. You’re just incompetent.
It’s disappointing to see libs on this thread come out against deporting violent criminal illegal aliens and against ending wasteful government spending.
Trump is still trailing Biden on deportations.
Incorrect!
🚨FAKE NEWS: Newsweek Caught in Blatant Lie About Deportation Rates
Newsweek reports that Trump is on track to deport *less* criminal aliens than Biden!? Can this be true?
The Hard Facts:
Trump’s ICE deported 5,693 in two weeks, equating to 2,864 per week. That’s on track for… pic.twitter.com/B7kIqE3ETS
