China's oil is now being essentially blockaded. If trump follows through with this blockade, soon a tanker will head through the strait sailing for China. We will stop it at gunpoint.
China then understands its economy is being held at gunpoint by Mr Trump.
Does China pressure Iran to sign a deal and open the strait? Or does China send its blue fleet to Hormuz?
Or both?
and every asian country that was formerly allied with us is no longer on our side. They will say 'we don't like China much, but they never cut off our oil. We are team Beijing now.'
Unending hurt to this nation.
This is a massive escalation.
Most likely (?): We stop Iranian ships. We do NOT stop Chinese ships. Perhaps we also stop ships from some other countries.
….although I admit to knowing nothing about how much bound-for-China oil sails on non-Chinese ships?
Truly surprising that the ga*ness isn’t a deal breaker for the mouth breathers.
Oh look, exhbit #1000 of the "tolerant" left using gay as an insult
It's not being used as an insult. It's suggesting that it's surprising that MAGA are ok with the obvious homoerotic behavior in the video given you'd be sending them off to the camps too if you had the option.

Oh look, your reading comprehension and simple analytical abilities are terrible. And certainly not the first time you’ve demonstrated so regarding comments about se*uality.
Adding insult to injury. Trump can't connect events from day to day. He simply does not understand why he can't threaten to invade countries one day and then the next day they don't want to go to war with us. He can threaten to exterminate a civilization but the next day they won't do a deal with him.
I think that’s too kind. It’s not about memory or understanding. It’s about him being the quintessential selfish bully. “I do whatever I want whenever I want, and you KEEP kissing my as*.”
That continues to work PERFECTLY with his party, and 40-45% of America. It’s GREAT to watch it NOT work with much of the rest of the world.
I think we are describing the same pathology from different angles.
Trump simply doesn’t care about the topic or the person he is speaking to enough to be accurate. Every word coming out of his mouth is what feels good to him at the moment. That is why he can contradict himself from sentence to sentence
Enemies of the US already know this and ignore the content of what he says. Our allies still try to gain meaning to his ever changing positions and statements. That’s why Denmark was preparing for war with the US.
Can me crazy. But if you are sitting down to discuss nuclear weapons, don’t you bring an expert in nuclear weapons?
not if the purpose of the event is "make trump look good" or "make vance look presidential" as opposed to substantive work on a problem.
and if the expert is writing the deal, that aggrandizes and empowers the expert. trump and vance aren't ceding spotlight.
The purpose of the talks is to get PEACE. And Iran CANNOT have a nuclear weapon! That is a red line they cannot cross.
Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump
Iran promised to open the Strait of Hormuz, and they knowingly failed to do so. This caused anxiety, dislocation, and pain to many people and Countries throughout the World. They say they put mines in the water, even though all of their Navy, and most of their “mine droppers,” have been completely blown up. They may have done so, but what ship owner would want to take the chance? There is great dishonor and permanent harm to the reputation of Iran, and what’s left of their “Leaders,” but we are beyond all of that. As they promised, they better begin the process of getting this INTERNATIONAL WATERWAY OPEN AND FAST! Every Law in the book is being violated by them. I have been fully debriefed by Vice President JD Vance, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner, on the meeting that took place in Islamabad through the kind and very competent leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, of Pakistan. They are very extraordinary men, and continuously thank me for saving 30 to 50 million lives in what would have been a horrendous War with India. I always appreciate hearing that — The amount of Humanity spoken of is incomprehensible. The meeting with Iran began early in the morning, and lasted throughout the night — Close to 20 hours. I could go into great detail, and talk about much that has been gotten but, there is only one thing that matters — IRAN IS UNWILLING TO GIVE UP ITS NUCLEAR AMBITIONS! In many ways, the points that were agreed to are better than us continuing our Military Operations to conclusion, but all of those points don’t matter compared to allowing Nuclear Power to be in the hands of such volatile, difficult, unpredictable people. My three Representatives, as all of this time went by, became, not surprisingly, very friendly and respectful of Iran’s Representatives, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, Abbas Araghchi, and Ali Bagheri, but that doesn’t matter because they were very unyielding as to the single most important issue and, as I have always said, right from the beginning, and many years ago, IRAN WILL NEVER HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON!
Most likely (?): We stop Iranian ships. We do NOT stop Chinese ships. Perhaps we also stop ships from some other countries.
….although I admit to knowing nothing about how much bound-for-China oil sails on non-Chinese ships?
well two things:
what if it's an Iranian ship bound for China? Do we stop it then?
and trump is saying the blockade will be for all ships working with the Iranian government. So I think that means any ship heading for china would be stopped.
One good outcome here would be for China to use this as an invitation to help out on the world stage diplomatically. If China walks in, quickly solves the problem and things clear up nicely...that would be a HUGE soft power gain for Beijing. Countries will start to trust them more. They will take a massive step up in the soft power game against America.
And that will hurt the US. But at this point we deserve all the head butts and jabs - we are a rogue nation that need a counterweight.

Cute. What does "truly surprising that the [Trump's] gayness isn't a deal breaker for the mouth breathers" mean / imply?
Beyond, it's just factually incorrect – as his secretary wrote "I do not believe any man in America gets more calls from women wanting to see him, meet him, or go out with him. The most beautiful women, the most successful women—all women love Donald Trump"
That's what I said earlier. Trump should have sent Rubio. There is no way Pakistanis or Iranians are going to listen to some cross-dresser guy. Their Hezbollic religion won't let them. Sending JD Vance (nee' Hamels) was like serving BLTs for lunch.
you don't send a state leader to a summit without a deal to sign. you don't get to see one of my main people unless you're being agreeable and this is a formality. until then you speak to a go-between or a state department flunkie.
and you don't put a stopwatch to peace talks, which i understand we've done both ends of this war. it takes what it takes. saying one day is it, is saying you're content with war.
i am sure trump at this point gets why obama did a deal where we bought iranian nuclear peace, but having torn that up, is trying to insist on them unilaterally giving them up.
The rest of the negotiators and attendees could barely keep themselves from laughing at how inept Trump's three clowns were. That is what happens after Trump shutdown the entire 3800 person staff dealing with the entire Middle East. The ONLY U.S. ambassadors are in Oman and Israel. And the result of that was the disaster the inept three managed on TACO Saturday.

Yes, I’m sure that we mostly or completely agree. I’m just saying that if one or more of the few people he listens to very explicitly pointed out such a situation to him (and I’m sure that’s happened over the years), the vast majority of time he DOES understand what they’re pointing out, and he DOES reply, “F*** THAT, I’M THE BOSS, PERIOD.”
American businesses all celebrated when the SCOTUS struck down Trump's socialist tariffs in the Learning Resources case. But they knew it was only the first step in their battle to get their money back from the Trump administration. Trump refuses to give the money back. American businesses are now forced to initiate costly, time consuming litigation against Trump to get the billions of dollars ($) Trump illegally seized from them.
Developing . . . . .
We literally just took over the Worlds supply of oil, less Russia, today. hours ago
and you are talking about tariffs. we are going to have so much damn money, watch this.
One problem that the plaintiffs like Costco, FedEx, Revlon, Fleet Farm and thousands of others will face is that Trump will defend the lawsuits, in part, by claiming that American businesses passed on Trump's socialist taxes to consumers. Which is true. No one got fvcked harder by Trump's massive taxes than low budget consumers like yourself.
So how does a court account for that? Do they flip the burden to, for example, Costco to show how much they got gouged by Trump minus how much they spread their Trump tax bill out to their customers? That's a complicated analysis. And Trump will argue in these cases, contrary to all his previous public statements, that all his socialist taxes on American businesses got re-shafted to the consumer, so Costco should get jack sh!t by way of refund. It's a very fvcked up situation, Shia.

👆correct. And only 2 groups on the planet want them to have nukes, Shias and Liberals.

Well, Trump is an unprincipled pus*y, so perhaps there will be one or more (embarrassing) exceptions, including any oil going to China.

The current apparent futility of staff pointing out the blindingly obvious to Trump reminds me of a strange (current) irrelevancy of his administration forcing out and muzzling experts throughout government. If he NEVER listens to them, does it really matter whether they’re there? Mostly, I think, “No.”
But is it tragic and criminal that thousands of Americans saw their careers destroyed (or suffering in place until 2029), and will the country suffer in the future from their loss? Of course.
