Badger bound Sharp was 36th at World XC
Schumacher-Allen goes nuts and runs 8:55 at Drake. Easily #1 in the state and also #2 currently in Division 3.

They are not Madison, but I think they're better than La Crosse now.
Maybe by a margin. Lacrosse has them in a few events (distance-wise) but Eau Claire is currently the top non-madison school in terms of mid-d/distance runners. Not beyond 2-deep, but their top few runners are better than Marquette's.

Ask a thrower, jumper, sprinter, hurdler, or mid-distance runner which one means more. There are way more non-distance competitors in track than there are distance runners who would disagree. So your opinion is only that.

This is a thread about distance running. The distance running title means more than the 800. Which one would be the top guy on the XC team?

Kind of ridiculous two private school athletes with not only financial support systems but also genetic talent are beating up on DIII kids and calling themselves national champs. No better when youre from Brookfield, Arrowhead, Middleton or Wayzata. Not the spirit of DIII.
This comment didn't sit easy with me so I'm going to have to call you out
Who are you to judge these athlete's lives and personal decisions? Kyler went Division 1 and didn't like it, so he went to Division 3. Darin went to high school in Eau Claire and wanted to stay home. You forget that when it comes to choosing where you're going to college, there's much more that goes into the decision than just running. Stop talking stuff behind a keyboard and take something away from Lau/Lueck's national championships.
