Martin Fiz is still small and skinny at age 62. Appears only a few kg (2-3kg?) more than his competitive racing weight. That's a big advantage.
Also Fiz is an outlier, with Abel Anton (still fit and slim). Most others, Spanish former stars, are far from their competitive shape, age graded or not.

I saw him at the race. He’s pretty tall (close to 6 ft) and not overly skinny. Typical middle aged runner’s build.
After the weekends cold with little fever I felt okey enough to test a 20 x 1 min maxVO2 interval today @ 4:45 min per km pace . Rest back to 120 bpm ( 60- 90 sec). It felt surprisingly very good and I could have run atlest 5 more reps at same pace if I was forced to. This is the way to train smart to always feel relatively strong after the last rep and just do what's enough to get an improvement.🧙♂️🇸🇪

Not a chance in my case. All people around me are sick or have just been sick . It's a top of different flu right now in my Sweden . And I have all day to myself to take it easy and recover after my only one run per day and day off on Sundays. And my diet is mostly very healthy nowadays.🧙♂️

Well, my training goes well and fast forward . My first test after my serious training 6 sessions per week started in the end of 2025 gave a 26:30 min 5 k TT . Now my shape has developed fast and I run training times equal to a 23:30 min 5k

I think it’s beyond the realm of reasonableness to jump from a 26:30 TT (close to 25 min race fitness) to 23:30 shape in about two weeks. I think you’re deluding yourself.
Kindly note this is my first direct challenge to your claims; I’ve been following along with suspended disbelief and hopeful well wishes so far. While it’s good to be optimistic, it’s never (in my experience) good to overreach wildly.
