All I can tell you is what happened to me. First sick in March 2020 (also had COVID a few more times to boot). Used to run marathons, nearly 20, more than half under 3. Was in BQ shape for my age. Life is OK, but never been the same since. I can still run maybe 30 minutes at easy pace or longer walk-running, but my HR jumps to 200+ at times during exercise. Other times I get afib. Docs can't explain it even now but say exercise as tolerated. Still have weird-ass rashes on my legs. Wouldn't surprise me if I get a heart attack at some point. At times have felt close to normal, usually after the vax, although one time it did trigger the already-present heart issues. ... But go on about wising up. I feel like we're f-ed either way.

I’m sorry to hear this. There’s a lot of good research being done on this and other post viral chronic issues — if the NIH doesn’t de-prioritize it.

2020: 11 excess heart attack deaths
2021: 75 excess heart attack deaths
2022: 111 excess heart attack deaths
2023: 147 excess heart attack deaths, a 1,236% increase compared to 2020.
Moreover, cardiac arrest deaths, in general, rose about 25% from 2020 to 2023. In the same time frame, King County's population shrunk slightly.10 -

The only reason omicron wasn’t as big a deal was because of vaccines. Most people who most critically needed it had good immunity before omicron from the vaccines.
