I want the lives of all Americans to improve. That’s nowhere near a priority for this administration. And Trump has just empowered the Iranian government at the cost of 13 dead American servicemen, $30 billion to the American taxpayer and higher fuel costs for all Americans. All of this was predicated on lies about Iran’s nuclear capabilities which will all be forgotten.
But, again, and seriously, what did America get out of this stupid war that we didn't have already? And, more importantly, was it worth the cost in material, alliances, and Iranian lives? Crude up $3 and the Dow temporarily up 1150 points (a nice short-term windfall for the Epstein class) are awfully pathetic "wins" to be crowing about when we just threw away billions of dollars in weapons; murdered several hundred Iranian children; and squandered invaluable international goodwill. Who's the small-minded one, king?

Hegseth got to power flex in a few press conferences in front of the cameras. That ain't nothing.
You cannot reason with these pathetic jack asses, they root for failure of America every day. They wake up and ray for the market to be down and Crude to be up. Iran has always controlled the Strait as the biggest bully on the block, those days are over, because if it is not? Trump will once again have to step in as the World's Top Cop and fix it. Crude is down to 95 now, was at 92, Market up 1150. These turds cannot stand it on here.Their hatred for Trump kills any objectivity and credibility. It's sad and so so small minded.

The Iranian navy was destroyed. It will be 30 years before Iran has a functioning navy again.
The Iranian air force was severely debilitated. Again, 30 years before they have a functioning air force.
Those are enormous gains for Israel, but the US gets some benefit from them to. (Israel is the huge winner here -- look at all the heavy lifting we did for them and THEN we PAY them for the privilege of doing so).
We killed thousands of Islo-Sunni Iranians, which is always good. A few Shiates too.
We destroyed their nuclear program, which is really good. It will be 7-10 years before they can get back to where they were on whatever it is they were doing.
We weren't able to achieve the goal of regime change or "secular Iran," but that was always fantastical and ridiculous fake-aspiration marketing-to-the-MAGAs sh!t to begin with.
We enacted some measure of revenge for the takeover of the US embassy, which was LONG overdue.
So there are some significant tangible benefits. But I agree, ultimately Trump and Hegsmiths fvcked it with lack of planning, unclear objectives, and ridiculous rhetoric. The ROI on the whole project is WAY in the red (- (neg) $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.00) (boondoggle). I'm just saying that there are some benefits.

Hegseth was faced with a military revolt that was set to phsyically remove trump from office.
Seems a bit premature for Kegseth to be spiking footballs and collecting trophies…
Hegseth: "You see, had Iran refused our terms, the next targets would have been their power plants, bridges, and oil and energy infrastructure, targets they could not defend and could not realistically rebuild. We were locked and loaded. President Trump had the power to cripple Iran's entire economy in minutes. But he choose mercy."
I'm sorry, but this war is not over. Israel immediately violates the terms of the ceasefire, launching yet more attacks on Lebanon and bragging about it. Trump says Lebanon wasn't part of the ceasefire deal, but it was plainly included in Iran's 10 point plan that Trump said would be the starting point of negotiations. The Strait of Hormuz is now closed to traffic again because of this (notice that Iran can now shut down the strait anytime something happens they don't like. Tremendous success!) and a Saudi pipeline that bypasses the Strait of Hormuz was attacked. Negotiations are off to a great start.
The fact is that our "allies" Israel and Saudi Arabia don't want a ceasefire. They know that the preliminary terms of the ceasefire agreement don't benefit their interests at all. They will work to undermine King Idiot's highly-tenuous peace agreement. And, as the media begins to highlight the obvious reality that the terms of this agreement demonstrate a remarkable strategic failure, Trump's fragile little ego won't be able to take it and he'll bail on it too.

I should also mention that Iran did not accept Trump's terms. His 15 point plan was thrown in the trash. Trump accepted Iran's 10 point plan that they previously said was absurd.

Trump is getting a hard dose of what everyone told him from the beginning.
It's easy to start wars but hard as hell to stop wars.
Numerous Agreements, Lists, and Letters are being sent out by people that have absolutely nothing to do with the U.S.A. / Iran Negotiation, in many cases, they are total Fraudsters, Charlatans, and WORSE. They will be rapidly exposed after our Federal Investigation is completed. There is only one group of meaningful “POINTS” that are acceptable to the United States, and we will be discussing them behind closed doors during these Negotiations. These are the POINTS that are the basis on which we agreed to a CEASEFIRE. It is something that is reasonable, and can easily be dispensed with. It’s very much like Fake News CNN last night, headlining a “source” that had no power or authority to write a Letter claiming great authority.

Spanky thinks he can sic Brenden Carr on international news outlets and Iran themselves.

Negligible benefits at best. With the money coming into Iran for the use of a strait that had previously been open and the money flowing to Russia with the oil sanctions lifted, the timeline for Iran's military recovery is much shorter than you've projected.
And some of those that you have identified are perverse. Is the killing of thousands of Muslims really "always good" in your estimation? Is costly "revenge" for a 50-year-old transgression really in the best interests of a true global super-power?
Finally, Trump's trivial, childish attitude toward large-scale annihilation--his off-the-cuff threat to reduce an entire civilization to rubble to achieve the meager terms he did--is a global embarrassment from which this country will likely not soon recover. All of you people cheering for this "tough talk" (which is really just psychopathic babbling) are beneficiaries of more or less restrained US rhetoric for the last 80 years; you are the children of the American Century. None of us has any idea what it will be like to live in a country marginalized by savvier rival nations who cultivate economic and military partnerships to counter us. You all think global hegemony is your birthright because it is all you have known. I fear what happens when we find we were wrong.
Obama did give them money. Trump did the right thing and if Harris or Biden had done the same, I'd have agreed with them as well.
It was Iran’s money the entire time.
Are you incapable of understanding that before the revolution, money that Iran was paying US contractors was put into an interest-bearing account and that the purchases that money was intended for were voided, so it sat, earning interest while the new Iranian government filed a claim with the Iran-US Claims Tribunal to get it back, and that President George H. W. Bush released $200 million of it to Iran in 1990, or are you just lying?
