There was no cover up. You need to get you info from more reliable sources (or perhaps just not make things up). There was a Times or Post article that came out BEFORE the call outlining the WH practice of putting ALL phone conversation recordings on different (or as you say, "SECRET") servers.

Get educated on this subject or stop making things up.

According to reports the memo was placed under "code word" protection which is more restrictive than "top secret". Some version of the memo was then released to the public and there's nothing in it that would indicate even "top secret" as the appropriate classification.

At best the administration is routinely over classifying records and circumstances suggest they are doing so for political rather than national security reasons.

It is pretty clear there is a full time team behind him at all times picking up his mess as he tornadoes through. If you have half a brain working at the WH you have to protect him from himself so you can also survive. Don't forget that from early on Cohn and others routinely pulled stuff out of trump's desk while he wasn't around in hopes that he would forget some of his moronic ideas.

They tanked in his second term.

Trumpers continue to show they are the dumbest people here. I wasn't using Trump's approval rating of ~43% to say it was a BAD rating (as Silly Willy was suggesting). I was using it to show that it is a relatively GOOD rating for someone who is so criminal and that it showsthere is still a large group of stupid people out there. Correct! Trump has not cracked 50% during his term. His average is 43% per Gallup with the overall avergae for all presidents being 53%. BUT, for frame of reference OBUMMER was polling at 41% in Sep 2011--Trump was at 40% for sep 2019 (both a year out from the election for second term). For another historical comparison, Carter was at 32% in September of 1979...and, of course, he went on to get thumped by Ronnie Raygun in Nov 1980.

My interpretetation of the above is that 1) Trump is definitely still the favorite for 2020 (OBUMMER won with similar poll numbers a year out) 2) IF Trump drops into the mid to low 30s--that will be the point at which the smart money will be on his Dem challenger.

It would be interesting (and I don't have this info) to know whether the DISapproval numbers were similar for Obama and Trump, a year away from their re-election votes. In the RCP average of polls, it seems that for the last 30 months more than 50% have declared that they are definitely NOT approving DJT's job performance, and I wonder whether BHO had similar figures.

Okay, I was able to find Obama data after all. There were certainly stretches when his disapproval was over 50% in his first term, but nothing like Trump's unrelieved 30+ months of majority-negative polling.

The economy steadily improved from Sep 2011 through Nov 2012, which helped Obama win again.

The current economy is much better now but Trump still has low ratings. His rhetoric is divisive.

I don't see any economic boom happening but Trump's tariffs are making things more expensive for Americans.
