this is a country of people from around the world. wtf do you do with "blood" here? this isn't germany.
and germany went so well with this rubbish.
You provide proof of at least one parent being a citizen or legal permanent resident at the hospital. Is that so hard?
first off, you said "blood." papers ain't blood.
second, i just explained earlier on the thread the issues with yanking birthright in terms of your arguments. the onion-unraveling argument. trump's granddad was german. if trump's dad isn't allowed to be an anchor baby, is trump legal? similarly, mom was scottish. if dad wasn't yet legal as an anchor baby, and mom is a migrant, is donald legal? if donald's not legal, and he twice married foreigners, are their kids legal?
sorry, you clowns don't really mean what you're saying. if you went back and undid existing birthright babies, or previous ones, you'd have to grandfather people in or it would be one big mess.
I don’t think you have data to support those claims, apart from the current trend of the more educated having smaller families.
More US citizens means more US taxpayers, no matter where they live.
Nothing says "more taxpayers" like someone who pays $0 in federal income tax (47% of the population), a tiny amount in sales and local taxes, yet uses FAR more in services.
As just one example, do you realize that illegals get free public education? In a city like New York that's almost $40k per year. Why are we paying for 19-21 year old illegals to get free, taxpayer-funded education?
If you truly think (and I use that word extremely loosely) "it's a bad thing for society that birth has basically `flipped' from the past – in the past it'd be richer and more intelligent people who have more kids, but now it's the polar opposite. The national IQ has steadily been dropping." then you should be supporting education for everyone, regardless of immigration status.

are you really saying we should parse deserving from undeserving in terms of elementary and secondary education?
and you don't seem to get your sort of arguments are how you create a violent underclass of migrants still living here but with zero prospects of getting out of their situation. gastarbeiter kids in germany. it keeps citizenship limited and neat. it also means in reality you have a whole class of residents who are poor, not citizens, and not with access to self help tools, but still in your borders. has bred crime and terrorism in germany.
you actually want migrants in school where they can communicate and count and hold a job, as opposed to turn to crime or violently revolt against the state.

"Jus sanguinis" is the term...jus solis and jus sanguinis. And it's not revoking citizenship retroactively
So we should be granting children citizenship based on the wealth and intelligence of their parents, regardless of their parents' citizenship or immigration status?
I have no problem at all giving a fast track to citizenship for anyone who has over $1 million to invest in the US. They, at minimum, would have a net worth of between $5-10 million so they would fiscally benefit the US greatly. Those are one type of immigrants we want.
The other main type are people who are very intelligent and/or have achieved something great, like the EB-1 – Olympic medals, Pulitzer Prize, etc: people who are truly exceptional.
the irony here is that when rich people come to a wealthy nation, they basically go into hibernation. They will have lost their status, their jobs, they don't speak the language. They don't work, they don't contribute other than spending. They won't take a job lower than their former status.
Whereas the less wealthy immigrants need to work and oboy do they work. Esp the second generation, which is driven to go to college and become professionals.

So you're saying if YOU were trying to get into this country you couldn't.
if I was younger I'd be on a student visa and then I would aim to work in the US
Tell me how it benefits America to be the garbage can for the world though.

Given that the American children of those illegal immigrants tend to have good upward mobility, you’ve just created a new generation of productive US taxpayers.
Children are here, it serves society as much as them, to have them in school and get basic skills and education. Is it just a general lack of empathy why you can’t appreciate the plight of a child brought into the US illegally? Tell me what you would do today as a 13 year old illegal immigrant in the US.
The generals telling Trump not to start a land war in Asia are being fired one by one.
And his approval rating goes ever lower. Down to 39.4%, per Nate Silver.
America hates Piggie. Really hates the pig.
Fox News: Do you approve or disapprove of the job Donald Trump is doing as president?
Approve: 41% (22% strongly / 19% somewhat)
Disapprove: 59% (47% strongly / 12% somewhat)
Lowest approval of his second term. In his first term he got down to 38% approve (25% strongly / 12% somewhat) and 57% disapprove (49% strongly / 8% somewhat).

If Kamablah was president, we would have been at war sooner and there would be 40 planes shot down because the pilots would have had to learn DEI and gender theory instead of more useful things like Top Gun!

We should deport them.
So we should spend a few hundred thousand dollars to deport them, rather than provide them with an education?
The typical American consumes nearly 60 pounds of beef each year. Widely available and easy to prepare, ground beef serves as a grocery mainstay for many families ??? which means skyrocketing prices matter.
Yes. I don't want poor immigrants. What country does?
I don’t want to subsidize poor Trump states. Who does?
Exactly. If we wanted to reduce the number of poor people in the country that the rest of us have to subsidize, we would kick most of the red states out of the union.
