If true, then I take back what I said and I am now a Floberg Hater! This is ridiculous. I was assuming he was putting effort into coaching his athletes.
I just found this site and have become quite entertained. I am sadly one of the suckers that tried out $120 a month coaching and can inform you that everything you say about floberg could not be more accurate. How the floberg coaching goes is he gets a new cohort of athletes 2 x a year. He plans a zoom call and informs you first thing that no one is at his level and probably never will be and that no one should be running the miles that he does and ensures that by not letting anyone run more than 50 miles at peak. He also informs you that he will not give you paces to run, His model is to pick your goal marathon time and then go to vdot, type in your goal marathon time and use those as your training paces. You then get your cookie cutter training plan for the month and he lets you know its okay to switch around days if you need to. I don't think he ever actually looks at your workouts or gives any feedback. He does have a private strava group that if you are really "lucky" get a single emoji comment from him. The only way you can communicate with him is via patron and he would respond in 4-5 days because he is "busy" but the responses are short and vague and not really helpful. He advertises 1-2 coaching meetings a month but if you lucky he would schedule one every 6-8 weeks, The calls would always be without notice "hey the next coaching call will be tomorrow at 6" and sometimes after rescheduling your life to attend he would cancel 1 hour before because his kids have baseball. I realized very quickly this was a joke and a scam and did my own training after a couple of months but continued the subscription for the friendships. the Strava group is really fun as everyone helps and encourages everyone and on the Patron group, athletes set up links for everyone to track on race day. The breaking point is he did not devote a shake out run or any time for us at Chicago just said come to the BPN shakeout and then did not bother to stick around to watch his athletes finish yesterday. I can confirm 95% did not hit goal time, blew up or DNF. So you would all be correct stating he knows nothing about running and believes he is god.

Huge if true
An exposé is needed. Someone needs to sign up, record meetings with him and post to youtube
Yo no one has mentioned Thomas from BITR as the real winner of all the shoetubers in Chicago. Basically an even split 3:51. A solid nine minutes under the sub 4 pace group he’s promised to lead at nyc in less than a month. Barely broke a sweat. Wore cool baggie pants before the shakeouts. Ate a hotdog with only ketchup after as a big eff you to Chicago. Mad respect
What shoes did he wear? Evo Pros? Did he bicarb? Don't leave us hanging!!!
He wanted to wear the evo pros but sadly the event was sponsored by new balance so he had to go with the lowly sc elites. Oh, but he also said on instagram his bib wasn’t sponsored so I’m sure it was just a coincidence he wore all new balance gear anyway.

Marathon investigation should look into this, much as they did for Matt Choi

Its hard to shake the feeling that all of the hate towards Floberg on this forum is rooted jealousy for a man that found a way to earn money off of the hobby that we all share and enjoy. Yes, the videos are dramatic - but the guy is a hobbyist video producer and enjoys the process of trying to create compelling films. Floberg doesn't train perfectly but is clearly putting in effort and attempting to improve, and its probably not fair to judge him harshly given that he got into running seriously as an adult and didn't grow up with a TF/XC background that many of us have. I am rooting for the guy to succeed and hope that he continues to enjoy the process of running and smashes his PBs.
And no, I don't watch the majority of his videos. I'll admit they are long and at times redundant. Just don't get the hate for the man.
I don’t think it’s jealousy. He definitely receives more attention than others because he is in the sweet spot of being just watchable enough to actually get to know a bit, while being irritating in the long term once you get familiar with his schtick.
People like Phily and Bester I’ve tried to watch based on the comments of others here and they’re literally so cringe I don’t even get through a video - my dislike for Floberg crept up on me after a handful of videos, so yeah, he’s definitely not the absolute worst.
That said, if you put your content out there and monetize it, you are inviting feedback of all sorts. 90% of what Floberg sees is sycophantic praise in Strava and Insta comments, so I’m sure he can man up and deal with this thread very gently roasting him for being a massive dweeb.

This is beyond gross if true. How can you not get together with your athletes before the race? How could you not want to? Literally what you have all been working for together. Worse, he didn't stay to watch his athletes finish? I have no words.
IG is painful right now. Running reel suggestions swamped with images of Mary McCarthy crying at a Chicago PB - the craving for attention from her is unrivalled.

Assuming this isn't a troll, probably a bad assumption on my part, but what exactly did you think you were going to get for your $120 a month? You knew he wasn't a coach, just some youtube influencer. And you're savvy enough to post here, so you see the types of running discussions that go on between people that actually know what they're talking about (mostly) for free. Did you really think he had some secret that was worth your money? I'm genuinely interested. And clearly everyone on this thread loves you for crapping on him. But no one seems to question your judgement in the first place.

People saying if true, this is 100% true. And honestly are you surprised? This is who Floberg is, and I don’t even think he cares much to hide it because it won’t affect his money. He built a cult following that will praise him and give him money no matter what, much as our og Seth did back in the day. Seth still has a way better thon time but bloberg might’ve beat him in terms of grifting. Will be funny though to see bloberg’s channel crash and burn in the next few years just as Seth’s did though
Channels like his will run their course especially as he can't continue to improve his times. He will then have to move on to other races to keep it fresh. As someone who has watched a lot of his videos I have genuine heartfelt concern for his one-track mind with training. The toll on his family must be immense because any of us that have trained for a race without cameras and trying to make a business of it know how we have to be selfish to train but it does come to an end on race day at least for a while.
He has to keep grinding to make content. It will become stale. Eventually the breaking point will be reached and he will drop off only to be replaced by someone else. Rinse and repeat.
Why isn't anyone talking about the new Fordy Runs video?
Smashed his PB. Epic run. He really is a man of the people. A true gentleman. He put his money were his mouth was and ran an amazing race. Nearly a negative split but the heat (similar conditions to Vitality 10k to be honest) was a killer.
One of the true YouTube and running greats. He had an amazing block and the people he coached all had a great day. The legend is here, people
I will run a 5k block next. I'm in 14:30 shape, Jeff told me so. I just need to do some more work on my abs.
I ran an 8 mile run on the mill last night, and man, that HR was so low. My kids and wife watched. They were mesmorized by the HR. "Are you sure you're ok, honey? That HR is dangerously low" said my wife. So freaking fit, man.
I made sure to run shirtless and I know they love to see the abs. Core memory. Such a privilege.
I need to spend a week or so editing my race video. I used to have an editor but like my cameraman, "My boy" Clark, Matt Fox, Kofuzi, and basically anyone I've ever come in contact with they leave me, I don't know why.
