The great thing for Democrats is that really it doesn't matter if Kamala's economic policies aren't great. Donald Trump was found in civil court to be a rapist. Donald Trump was found in civil court to be an insurrectionist (and when SCOTUS took the case, they didn't disagree). Those of us with morals aren't going to vote to make a rapist our representative to the entire world, much less one that tried to overthrow the Republic. If Republicans were running a Mike Pence, or a Nikki Haley, or anyone who wasn't a rapist insurrectionist, maybe we could start to talk about economic policy, but I'm not going to talk economic policy to someone supporting a rapist.

Here's the SCOTUS ruling from the case where Colorado was taking him off the ballot. On page 6 (in a completely ahistoric and unconstitutional reading by the way), they say that States can't enforce the 14th amendment because the amendment says Congress can pass laws to enforce it.

This case raises the question whether the States, in addition to Congress, may also enforce Section 3. We conclude that States may disqualify persons holding or attempting to hold state office. But States have no power under the Constitution to enforce Section 3 with respect to federal offices, especially the Presidency.Of course, this makes no sense because the 14th amendment also granted citizenship to former slaves, and Congress didn't need to pass any legislation for that to happen. The Constitution is the supreme Law of the land, higher than Congress. They didn't write into the amendment "insurrectionists can't hold office but only Congress can decide who that is", it says insurrectionists who took an oath to uphold the Constitution can't hold office, unless 2/3rds of Congress says they can.

Trump's latest economic arguments are "No fair! I said it first!" Regarding taxes on tips and child tax credits.
So we have a choice between the guy described below and a Lawyer / Prosecutor with no scandals who has won every election she has contested. Not a tough choice for people who believe in law and order.
Trump undermined the electoral process with lies, calls to officials to change votes, fake electors, asked the VP to break the law, and had his team break into voting machines. Then he incited a mob to break into Congress to stop the ratification of the vote of the people. He stole hundreds of classified documents and stored them in unsecured locations where his guests had access, lied about having them, and refused to return them for almost a year before the FBI had to go take them beck. Several of his companies have been convicted of fraud. In addition, he is an adjudication rapist.

Also don't forget that he was calling McCarthy while violent rioters were inside the Capitol, telling him "I guess they're more upset than you are, maybe you should delay the vote". He refused to call them off for 3 hours.
We can't act like supporting someone who literally tried to violently overthrow the government is a normal, respectable opinion.
