will they plow the snow morning of if it covers the course? i've never raced in a snowy area...?
I ran the race in Ashland and they had a good bit of the course clear. The bad thing was that on the sides of the course they had piles of snow and at the start it was virtually impossible to pass because of such a tight pack and no way to go around the outside. The other bad thing about plowing it was it allowed it to melt a decent bit making it a slush which was even colder. If you ask me don't plow and warm up on the roads.

I ran in that race as well! That was real XC conditions. . . they did a fabulous job of clearing most of the course. The toes did get a tad cold, but it was over in 33mins or so for most runners. . I hope there is snow at every XC Championship meet!

I helped to clear the course in '02...Our coach called us at 5 in the morning to get out to the course and help clear it off...I remember being out in the snow and cold and thinking..."damn I wish I was racing today"...that was true cross country....even though I tore my meniscus that day, it was a great day for xc.
At least OSU beat Michigan that day!

night before the ncaa guy said the course would be clear and I laughed. people were still working on the course while we were warming up. I was so appreciative. that was really cool.
and the post party was crazy

Yes, Chico people will still paint up. I would assume that Western, Adams, and Grand Valley will as well.

there is certainly a small amount of snow on the course now and the snow is supposed to be steady through the night and day tomorrow. Should be interesting.
