Hegseth was a Major and he deployed twice. That's more useful than some 4 star who's never even seen a rifle.
Fun fact: in World War 2 when our military was 10 times the size it is now we had 26 3 and 4 star generals in the entire military.

I will always be stunned that so many people base a person's worth soley on if they voted for one terrible candidate over another terrible candidate. Reasonable people know that they all suck. Vote for whomever you want - that's a right that should never be taken away. But to defend one of these idiots no matter what they do is just crazy to me.
