I was a regular poster on the OG Seth threads but then some annoying stuff happened in my life and letsrun (and shoetubers) completely fell off my radar. I think I stopped coming here around the time Seth quit YouTube.

What have I missed? Anything juicy?
He recently started illegal drone piloting in Mexico.

Week 1) Letsrun has dived deeper into shoetuber scrutiny, including the occasional claim that X person isn't a real runner because their time at X distance is too slow.
Week 2) Noted hybrid athlete/Boston insider begins satirizing the same shoe tuber elements that Letsrun finds unpalatable in video form.
Week 3) Letsrun claims the noted hybrid athlete's satiring of shoe tubers has become old, tired. Come up with new ideas! It's been covered to death.
Week 4) Letsrun looks in mirror, sees the hybrid athlete looking back. Realizes complaining about hybrid athlete's videos is actually a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Not much of anything really. He still doesn't understand what his audience wants.. which is running and shoe content. Yet Seth is lazy and wants to make family content and call it a day. I still don't understand how he actually makes money off the channel.
Something tells me that if comments in the runtubers' videos were more diverse - meaning you could see at least a few negative/real comments, not all love and hugs - these threads would've not been necessary. I have some guesses why it's like that, but I'm cannot pinpoint exactly. Runtubers live in a bubble of blind positivity and nobody dares to tell them when they are wrong. I tried a few times to give a constructive criticism, and choosing my words very carefully and being respectfull but, alas, it was for nothing.

I assume most runtubers delete any negative comments.
I always thought something was off with that Max Frankel dude. In Matt Fox's moxy test, Max consistently cuts off both Matt and the tester. He constantly seeks validation and wanted to be involved in the test. In a later podcast, Max was talking about how he was being strategic by putting on some random world championship 10k on the TV in front of the treadmill for Matt during the test lol.
lol yeah i remember that video, truly it was cringe.
The Eggman now just drops sporadic family life content while humble bragging that they can afford to travel to Mexico. Months ago, everything was a struggle (finances? mental health?) but now it's back to tone deaf content.

Isn't mexico where poor americans go to feel "bougie"?

I won't lie, when I first saw the title of this video I was getting ready to laugh at the "Local Legend" for calling winning a random parkrun one of the best days of his life. But in reality, he was legitimately super happy for Allie and it actually ended up being a cool video at the end. So no hate from me today. Also, shout out to the high school kid who went out crazy fast.
