I assume AT is Althea Thomas from Vandy. She is from Alabama but I don't know if Auburn is that attractive. Nashville is only 3 hours from her hometown. Why would she leave Vandy? Don't say recruiting or facilities. AT is a dog she will get recruits trust me. Vandy has a nice indoor track.
I figured it was Althea, but her home is Birmingham, so that statement threw me off. Only reason to leave Vandy would be the dual gender program.
I’d like to think Auburn goes after a proven big name. If AT is an option then I’d like to think the current assistants should be heavily considered too!
Steven Chumbley strikes again. From Radford to Western KY, he cannot seem to keep staff around, and If you know him you know exactly why. Didn’t Tosha Ansley just leave? How did he get a HC job after the Radford debacle?
Other than heading home what appeal does JMU hold?
His father probably out earned him, but I imagine JMU is going to greatly downsize what they pay the next XC coach.
They are just women now. If most men were given the choice, and were restricted to coaching one gender, I think they would opt for a men's team (which is exactly what he does now).
EMU has much more history, and a stranglehold on XC in the MAC. JMU is a fine program, but middle of the CAA. Only going to get tougher in the Sun Belt (see App State).

I could be completely ignorant. Has Culpepper ever really coached anyone but himself? Maybe he has, I just have no idea. Just because you were fast, does not mean you will be a good coach....does anyone know what his coaching chops are?
