Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum and I are working on fixing the absolutely filthy Reflecting Pool between the Trump Lincoln Memorial and the Trump Washington Monument. This work was supposed to be done by the Biden Administration, but Sleepy Joe doesn’t know what “CLEAN” or proper maintenance is — The President and Secretary do!
(I added 1 word twice here...will their names be changed as well?)
we're running DOGE and having wars, and you're babbling about interior decorating. it's like when we're mid war and he's discussing his ballroom.
It is very obvious that you do not appreciate the gravity of the Special Envoy to the Shield of America being staffed with a person whose husband is battling the vice of dressing as a woman. If I am not mistaken you were a staunch defender of Kristi Noem. I would like to hear your explanation of how she will complete her critical work as she has to deal with all the additional dresses, mascara and eyeliner of her husband. This is American and you claim to love this country. It is time to show it.

it's also highly illegal, to me, to circumvent legislative processes by getting private money involved. encourages corruption. do people really believe trump donors contribute $300-400m out of the goodness of their heart, no strings attached? and you call us naive.
(((Harry Enten))) @ForecasterEnten A steady fall into the abyss for Trump's net approval, as it falls into Death Valley. He's now at a term 2 low: -18 pts. Big reason why: Independents. Trump's at -45 pts. The worst for any prez at this point in term 2. Worse than Nixon (-36 pts) at the height of Watergate!
re noem's husband, you know that the deal on that is now that she's out of government, they're no longer bothering with the image of family values, she's going to divorce the husband and shack up with lewandowski she was cheating with.
if you think 5 seconds, she had to have known what her husband was up to, and for years, it never mattered. and then she's done politically, at which point, screw it, she tells journos to follow the husband who's into cross-dressing. she then pretends she's miss family values, fixing her house, when this was the deal all along, and she was into that weird arrangement.
while they lecture the rest of us on personal morality. or have people (or dogs) beaten or shot on the street.
that and how has no one started bringing up the cumulative massive amounts of grift being sought as DOJ claims by people who were convicted or pled guilty to russiagate or 1/6 stuff. this is nothing more than corruptly getting paid from the government for being bad people who got back in power.
how are the supposedly budget minded, supposedly moral majority GOP OK with this?

If you think Trump's 7 point plan to overturn the 2020 election results was batsh!t. You aint seen nothin yet. Trump is so underwater that big money won't help. He will need to get extra creative. Like Putin level creative. Are Sydney Powell, Rudy and Cheesbro still available?

he kind of got away with the same result last term trump had by blaming covid public health rules.
let's be real, though, there's been a market crash about every GOP administration since at least reagan. deregulated markets breed fraud and bubbles. bubble pops, market crashes. but people make a lot of money on the upswing of a bubble, or from daily volatility.
as a side benefit, broad based prosperity helps ensure that people pay their bills. when people pay their bills, the economy keeps rolling. and a watched economy does less stupid crap that risks the whole edifice coming down.
example -- why does one movie studio with dozens of movies each year need to buy another studio with dozens of movies. it's cannibalism. and the real point is conservatives buying up studios and news to change the content and control what people consider thinking.
The National Trust for Historic Preservation sues me for a Ballroom that is under budget, ahead of schedule, being built at no cost to the Taxpayer, and will be the finest Building of its kind anywhere in the World. I then get sued by them over the renovation of the dilapidated and structurally unsound former Kennedy Center, now, The Trump Kennedy Center (A show of Bipartisan Unity, a Republican and Democrat President!), where all I am doing is fixing, cleaning, running, and “sprucing up” a terribly maintained, for many years, Building, but a Building of potentially great importance. Yet, The National Trust for Historic Preservation, a Radical Left Group of Lunatics whose funding was stopped by Congress in 2005, is not suing the Federal Reserve for a Building which has been decimated and destroyed, inside and out, by an incompetent and possibly corrupt Fed Chairman. The once magnificent Building is BILLIONS over budget, may never be completed, and may never open. All of the beautiful walls inside have been ripped down, never to be built again, but the National “Trust” for Historic Preservation never did anything about it! Or, have they sued on Governor Gavin Newscum’s “RAILROAD TO NOWHERE” in California that is BILLIONS over Budget and, probably, will never open or be used. So, the White House Ballroom, and The Trump Kennedy Center, which are under budget, ahead of schedule, and will be among the most magnificent Buildings of their kind anywhere in the World, gets sued by a group that was cut off by Government years ago, but all of the many DISASTERS in our Country are left alone to die. Doesn’t make much sense, does it? President DONALD J. TRUMP
The claim of the Ballroom being underbudget is ridiculous. Based on the size and the cost estimate of between $300 million to $400 million, the cost per square foot is over $3000. Comparable constructions costs in DC are between $500 and $800 per sq. ft. So, using a similar calculus, I could budget $1 million for a double-wide, complete the job for the typical $250K, and presto, I am underbudget!
Given that the Ballroom is so expensive and funded by "private donations," it is safe to assume that there are kickbacks and serious money laundering going on.
Before President George Bush started attacking Islamic terrorists in Afghanistan and Iraq, he built a huge coalition of allied countries for support (and he wisely kept whacko Israel out of it). Idiotic MAGAs have criticized Bush, Cheney, and Rummy for their efforts back then, even using liberal-inspired insults like "neo-con" to describe them.
Bush's approach to complicated missions stands in stark contrast to the way Trump has haphazardly and impulsively gone about his similar endeavors against Islam. Trump didn't even bother to talk to our great NATO allies about any of his confused thoughts and ideas on Iran. Rather, the only "ally" that Trump thought to enlist in his Islamic war was Israel who, as we all know, is not much of an ally at all. They certainly have different interests and goals and don't mind taking billions of dollars from us, while working at odds and undermining us at every turn.
Very different approaches and you can see the different results in the petulant Trump spazz post quoted above.
Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE all support the strikes.
And they’re striking Iran themselves exactly as much as any NATO country is. Despite Trump very explicitly lying about this fact on Air Force One within the last day or so. He rattled off every country in the gulf and claimed that they’re all helping offensively with Iran.
Silly Eurotrash. Don’t they know that all they need to do is just give Trump or Jared bribes worth hundreds of millions, or billions? Then maybe they could get a pass for staying on the sidelines, too.

who knows, but the thing to me is dems are always on the defensive about morality. people in my state pimp the role of the church. then about once a month there's a scandal from some preacher or youth pastor.
the argument, said or implied, on a lot of culture war stuff, is we are bad people or even satan incarnate. even the georgia officials who told trump no in 2020 won't vote democrat because we're supposedly evil.
meanwhile, they vote into power trump, who hires this lady who shoots youthful dogs and has people attacked on the street. that's ok. that's moral. that's church-like.
whatever. america's political morality is in the ditch.

This was Obama's renovation:
A CNN report from 2010:
$376 million White House renovation during the Obama Administration.
You didn't answer my question, squirmy wormy. Why haven't you volunteered? You say it's kill or be killed time. So go sign up! What's the hold up?
Oh, you want other people to go die to satisfy your idiotic bloodlust? How convenient! American soldiers sacrifice themselves in vain, as you watch clips of the violence on your phone like a movie and post bravely about how much you support it. THIS defines who you are: a chickenhawk, chickensh*t coward.
government buildings often take forever to get done. architects, engineers, plans, permits, approvals, votes, etc.
if this process bogs down, and takes, say, 3 years, and a new president comes in, and decides he wants something different, and you're paying for different policies, will the various tech bros and such funding this boondoggle still be eager to fulfill their pledge?
i don't think so. i don't think these are bipartisan patriots who wanted the white house modernized. i think it's folks quid pro quo-ing friendly policy. but this is an electoral democracy. that white house could soon flip. and i don't think they'd pay for that. and that tells you all you need to know.
