Why is the first instinct of Republicans to start wars of choice overseas?????
And fund them with cuts to healthcare? What is that, boys? Why do you do that to us? This is America last, not first.
"Republicans are considering reductions in federal health spending to help pay for a budget bill containing as much as $200 billion to fund the Iran war
Why it matters: New efforts to rein in health programs open the GOP up to election-year attacks that they're cutting health care to pay for an unpopular war."
California spent $9.5 billion on healthcare for illegals...and Democrats are SUING over food stamp restrictions.

ok if I have this straight:
Q: Why do we fight wars overseas and pay for them with cuts to healthcare?
A: Because CA doesn't let people bleed to death on the streets.
I think I understand Republicans now. You are really terrible people, apparently.
I'm winning, not sure about those people. Let's take the ground beef, I think that's what she was talking about hard to understand. My Fresh Market has a nice deal on ground beef every Tuesday, load up. Let's take the chips, the Doritos. They have been $5+ for years. My grocery store where I get the essentials the last several weeks you can get 4 bags of chips for $10 with the Kroger card and there are 4 different chips brands to choose from and they switch it up. Shocking, not really, almost everything in that video is pure garbage food. Eat better. Move to a friendlier state.........
The United States of America is in serious discussions with A NEW, AND MORE REASONABLE, REGIME to end our Military Operations in Iran. Great progress has been made but, if for any reason a deal is not shortly reached, which it probably will be, and if the Hormuz Strait is not immediately “Open for Business,” we will conclude our lovely “stay” in Iran by blowing up and completely obliterating all of their Electric Generating Plants, Oil Wells and Kharg Island (and possibly all desalinization plants!), which we have purposefully not yet “touched.” This will be in retribution for our many soldiers, and others, that Iran has butchered and killed over the old Regime’s 47 year “Reign of Terror.” Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP
Trump says talks are going great but they may be doing some war crimes soon.
“He is repeating every foreign and domestic policy mistake the US has made over the last five decades, but he's doing it with a gracelessness, cluelessness, and corruption that has no precedent.”
Donald Trump has said he wants to “take the oil in Iran” and could seize the export hub of Kharg Island, as the US sends thousands of troops to the Middle East.
The US president told the FT in an interview on Sunday that his “preference would be to take the oil”, comparing the potential move to Venezuela where the US intends to control the oil industry “indefinitely” following its capture of strongman leader Nicolás Maduro in January. ... Trump said: “To be honest with you, my favourite thing is to take the oil in Iran but some stupid people back in the US say: ‘why are you doing that?’ But they’re stupid people.”
This sounds like Trump believes that all of Iran's oil is on Kharg Island or that Iran would keep the oil flowing to the island if the US took control of it. He also implies that siezing the island will be easy. Iran is currently setting mines and other traps there and would likely perform a scorched earth retreat if they thought they would lose it. Of course no mention of getting ships through the Straight of Hormuz which is currently blocked by Iran.
The simplistic stupidity of Trump, his administration, and his followers reaches new lows evey day.
"no, you can't cut off the flow of the spice by clogging the hormuz, we will stop the flow of the spice by blowing up your refinery island......"
so is it that we're all passionately TDS or is it that we're paid to protest
Paid protesters is used when cameras show large groups of people that hate Trump. Because in MAGA it doesn’t register that anyone could despise Trump naturally. TDS is used online by Trumpers that feel all of Trumps faults and destruction of the country should be overlooked.

to be fair, trump's negotiating strategy is to create maximum pressure and chaos to start the wheels turning.
the threats of killing hundreds of thousands of civilians may sound empty, but in trujmp's mind they are not empty threats - he has tried to make himself look unpredictable and amoral. So the other side gets scared and moves.
it's the opposite of the European/Dem style of endless 'let's talk a lot and assume everyone has good faith.'
I cannot wait for Crockett to beat Talarico tonight. This will ensure that Ken Paxton will bring his brand of justice to the Senate this year.
crockett? Forgot about that Nut. Me thinks she is one of many the resident Libs here would go away and/or stay quiet. Idiots like her and aoc are the gift that keeps on giving for the other side.
AOC confirms what we’ve known all along: she cray cray:
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been accused of breaking campaign funding rules by spending nearly $19,000 (£14,200) on a psychiatrist who advocates ketamine therapy.

he learns on the job and does it poorly.
and because the supposedly authentic man takes all sides of every issue depending on his whim, he learns everything the hard way, from all facets. eg wants to take credit for both vaccine denial and for warp speed.
you can't run foreign policy by what you feel that day without undermining your feelings on other days. are we starving cuba's regime out or are we getting oil flowing. are we trying to get russia to stop or are we getting oil flowing. is our goal in iran regime change or regime management.
you can't be all things to all people and at a level of incompetence you will just drive the national car in the ditch.
his big trick was getting people to believe the mismanagement of covid that got him run out of office was somehow the dems' fault for trying to do public health. we should now be seeing this is simply what trump does. wrecks the car then tries to move the steering wheel to the other side of the car and say it's not his fault.
i mean, how many affairs? divorces? bankruptcies? ruined sports leagues? failed businesses? weird kids?

There you go again. Falling into the trap of believing Trump has a plan instead of being guided by childish impulses that can change at a moment’s notice.

Hey, my faith in Rand Paul has proven well-placed, right? he saved the entire nation.

how do you negotiate with someone who is on all sides of every issue? it's not a principled negotiation, because his principles flip weekly. it's surrender to a man. the terms of that vary by the day.
i mean, i thought he settled with harvard, and now he's saying he's suing them again. there is no reward for cooperation with a lunatic.

Just a note that Donald Trump never, ever, EVER has to fake amorality!!

Speaking of negotiations with Trump. Some of our European allies that have spent billions in weapons of war with US weapons makers, are now finding that Trump is turning on them and disabling what they bought because he’s bigly mad at them.
How about that?
Trump is not a person to sign any agreements with. And now the US is not a country to buy weapons systems from.

Normal bad: Extremely flawed individuals can have significant professional success, including in politics, despite their huge flaws. Those flaws don’t wreck everything.
Trump 2.0 bad: Basically EVERYTHING that he does and says is a direct reflection and confirmation of his incomprehensibly flawed character.
So many people were so wrong about Trump when they shouldn't have been...
Perhaps my favorite. Many people in 2015 said that Trump would be immune from the temptations of political corruption and self dealing because, unlike other politicians, he was already rich and wouldn't need the money.
The Dow hit 50000. People never expected this to happen. Trump is the true steward of the stock market.
The S&P is up 5.5% in 14 months since Trump was inaugurated. It was up 25.0% in the year before that under President Biden. I don't know about you, but I would prefer the steward of the stock market generate 25% returns and not 4% returns.
Stop subsidizing the Trump states then. No more money for high school dropouts that are too stupid to grow corn without a billion dollars in federal assistance.
