OJ killed two people June 12, 1994.

He was charged with murder on June 17.

He was arraigned and plead not guilty June 20.

The juror interviews began in October.

Opening statements began Jan 24, 1995.

The not guilty verdict came on Oct 3, 1995.

Maybe we will see a timeline like that.

I think the timing isn't planned. The timing is just because this is when we found out about Trump's latest criminal behavior. The timing will be praised or damned, but it just is what it is - I can agree just to disagree with you there, so no need to waste your time typing some big thing out (all meant to be cordial there). McConnell said yesterday that he will have to bring it to the floor. I don't trust him at all of course, but he is on record saying that.

I think you misunderstood me. Nancy was always waiting for a slam dunk case and now she has it. I agree that the timing for that was mostly luck. But it still matters how you play your cards.

Nancy has been pushing to limit the scope of impeachment so that it is done by the end of the year. She doesn't want it done too soon or it will give the R's a chance to run someone else. She doesn't want it done too late or it will look like partisan interference in the election.

It's a mama bear strategy. The timing will be just right.

Moscow Mitch is super trustworthy, ha ha. He hates his nickname (the only honest thing about him), so that gives you some idea.

he's really not part of the establishment. he's a rogue...which explains why the HS educted white people love him so much - he is constantly sticking his middle finger up at the establishment. they thought they would encircle and tame him as president...but they didn't. He stayed wild and free and a pure dumbash.

just listen to how he talks...he talks like a blue collar bS artist at the Cracker Barrel or whereever.

funny imagining the judiciary committee this week trying to figure out which of his dozens of impeachable acts they will write up for the vote. There are so many. But good point that maestra Pelosi wants the timing fast. So it will be narrow. The problem of course is that after trump is not convicted...he'll feel free to do whatever the heck he wants for a year, since he won't be impeached again.

With a Republican majority in the house and senate for 2 years, Trump couldn't start construction of his wall. Where was the urgency if terrorists, rapists, and murders were swarming over the border, and a threat to national security? Not just a threat, a national emergency! Oh, the sense of urgency!

Which is totally in line with what happened in 2016, when about one out of eight who voted for Sanders in the primary voted for Trump in the general.

There is a TON of stuff that makes no sense with regard to Trumpers supporting him.

1) He has NEVER done anything for the common man his whole adult life...in fact, quite the contrary

2) He has an immigrant wife who likely worked here illegally, and she brought her parents here on so-called "Chain migration" that Trump says he is so against.

3) He has hired untold numbers of illegal immigrants, white ones, brown ones, etc.

4) He appeals to MANY Evangelicals even though he is Mr. "Two Corinthians" and wouldn't know a Bible verse if it bit him. Then of course there are all the traditionally non-Christians things he does...blasphemy, adultery, lying, theft...

Makes no sense. That's why Trumpers are senseless.

I think it all comes down to the facts, as it should.

Even with a narrow scope, if Democrats in the house make a strong case then that makes it tougher to acquit in the senate. It means a political land mine for senate Republicans.

So even if the senate acquits it could take down both Tiny and some Republican senators. That's what Nancy is gaming for.

If they are going to begin gathering and evaluating a "ton" of evidence, then this will drag on til next year. I know Pelosi indicated that she would like a vote this year. But, they need to focus on 1 or a few charges if this will go expeditiously. If they begin looking at everything it will go on for months and months. Even if impeachment occurs, the Senate can begin slow walking everything. No president have ever been removed from office after impeachment. I doubt it will happen in this instance.
