I know I’ve made similar comments in the past but will say again, technical indicators like index relative to the 200 (or 50, or whatever) day moving average tells us something about the past but has absolutely zero predictive power for the future.

Moving averages like this aren't really "technical indicators" like cup-and-handle bullsh!t. The 50 and 200 moving averages are important because those are used for real performance/alpha/beta calculations that financial service industries will use.
Actually, slight amendment to this - beta calculations depend more on regression lines (and alpha is derived from beta I believe) so in actual performance terms the moving averages aren't used directly. I would say that they are used to track sentiment though, more than day-trading or futures trading technical patterns which are basically just junk.

The best was illegally funding gain of function research thru a Chinese bioweapons lab and covering the truth when the leak killed millions. And you are concerned about timing the market? You would be better off betting against the ridiculous notion of a crypto currency reserve.

Whichever country is the leader in crypto is the loser. The more money a country diverts to crypto the less capital it has to fund the production of real goods and legitimate wealth creation. The worst thing any government can do is encourage or subsidize this waste of resources.

No you got that all wrong. The Treasury issues debt so Congress can spend it on nonproductive Government pet projects, the Fed buys that debt or refinances it. Therefore no “issue.” Best thing about the last idiot he was demented, so all the decision making was by unelected idiot bureaucrats.
