Republican senator finding out how much her poor red state depends on handouts from the rich blue states.

Trump cheerleaders are finding out the biggest employers in their state would be obliterated with Trumps cuts.
But here is where the keen eye will easily recognize the Trump grift.
Trump is using these tariffs and cuts to the federal programs to cause states, lawmakers, mayors and neighboring nations to come groveling to him for “exceptions”..to bend the knee.
Then he says: “Sure, I’ll make an exception but I need you to do me a favor though”.
Trump campaigned on ridding Washington of lobbyists and Trumpers claimed he was too rich to be swayed by lobbyists. Yet the lobbyist class has exploded since Trump was elected. The business world knows Trump is transactional and is lining up to buy him off.
The Oval office is the central hub of organized crime for the nation.
I live in Maryland and it's filled with federal workers outside of DC. Not surprisingly, it's one of the most Democrat states in the country because they want bloated government. I say cut more programs and then ask questions late.r
Several egregious examples include: $15 million for condoms to the Taliban through USAID. $446,700 to promote the expansion of atheism in Nepal through the State Department. $1 million to boost French-speaking LGBTQ groups in West and Central Africa through the State Department. $14 million in cash vouchers for migrants at the southern border through the State Department. $20,600 for a drag show in Ecuador through the State Department. $47,020 for a transgender opera in Colombia through the State Department. $32,000 for an LGBTQ-centered comic book in Peru through the State Department. $55,750 for a climate change presentation warning about the impact of climate change in Argentina to be led by female and LGBT journalists through the StateDepartment. $3,315,446 for “being LGBTQ in the Caribbean” through USAID. $7,071.58 for a BIPOC speaker series in Canada through the State Department. $80,000 for an LGBTQ community center in Bratislava, Slovakia through the State Department. $3.2 million to help Tunisian migrants readjust to life in Tunisia after deportation through the State Department. $16,500 to foster a “united and equal queer-feminist discourse in Albanian society” through the State Department. $10,000 to pressure Lithuanian corporations to promote “DEI values” through the State Department. $8,000 to promote DEI among LGBTQ groups in Cyprus through the State Department. $1.5 million to promote job opportunities for LGBTQ individuals in Serbia through USAID. $70,884 to create a U.S.-Irish musical to promote DEI in Ireland through the State Department. $39,652 to host seminars at the Edinburgh International Book Festival on gender identity and racial equality through the State Department. $2.5 million to build electric vehicle charging stations in Vietnam’s largest cities through USAID. $425,622 to help Indonesian coffee companies become more climate and gender friendly through USAID.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast released the following video exposing radical, far-left grants issued by the State Department and United States Agency for International Developmen...
I am in favor of using taxpayer funds for providing condoms, day after pills, and abortions for embryos from conception up to 15 years old for the taliban scum 💯 and for republicans too 🤣
If and when he starts ignoring the courts, you'll still be saying that. Because you're a really, really shi*** American.
Let's throw away our country! Yay, isn't this fun?! We're annoying Nancy and Chuck!!
You were giddy about our country being overrun by illegals. Why did you never complain about that. Biden and Harris were spending tens of billions flying illegals in and putting them up in luxury hotels. We kicked them to the curb.

Sometimes we wonder who's simply trolling, and who isn't? But when I see something like that highlighted above, I'm about 99% sure it's sincere. The dim kid in school who struggled to make it to "C" in an easy class. Possibly now an adult, with no improvement to be found.
And of course let's note that Ds passed the climate bill that primarily helped red states.
Incomprehensible to the ma'ga mind.
In less than three weeks, President Trump has thrown the U.S. clean energy industry into chaos, with much of the economic damage hitting Republican states and districts.
So far, Republican-voting communities have benefited the most from that law. In the nearly three years since it was passed, private companies chasing the law’s tax breaks have announced plans to spend $165.8 billion to build factories that make solar panels, wind turbines, electric vehicles and more

The more I learn about the @UN, one of the largest NGOs, the more I think our support for the UN deserves careful scrutiny. And as @realDonaldTrump would notice, it occupies great waterfront real estate in NYC.

Agip - everything you say is critical of the current administration. It gives you a downer mood. Why not just talk about the good things Trump and company have done? You will have a much happier mood.

When Trump starts ignoring the courts, we can decide if that is worse than the loser of the (relatively inconsequential) contest: "Who let in more illegals" ?
Oh, no, we don't have to wait. Because we can, if Biden let in more illegals, compare that to trying to steal an election. Or, pardoning 1500 people who attacked the capital and tried to help with that. Or purposely bungled a pandemic. Or is a multiple felon. Or, an adjudicated sexual abuser. Or is CLEARLY a pathological liar. Or.......
If it only this was just a few mo-rans and pretend morans on a message board.

what you are saying is not true. I have been saying positive things. Good on you for not being around these parts too much and missed them.
I am theoretically happy that some smart people are reviewing the budget. Like all of us should be, I want to know fed spending is being done efficiently. Also like all of us should be I am worried about data security and laws. But we all know the feds spend too much and often unwisely. I'm glad no fraud has been uncovered so far, but I'm sure it will be.
I am glad trans women are banned from women's sports.
I am not convinced that the 14A does confer birthright citizenship - glad scotus will probably decide that.
Probably there's something else I've been ok with. Hoping to see some wise deregulation. I know there is massive padding in university reseach funding. Maybe those will turn out ok.
But in the end, it's clear that trump is an authoritarian out to destroy American institutions including democracy. He tried last time and he might succeed this time.
In other words, the good stuff is around 2/100 and the bad stuff is around 98/100.

Imagine Newname running our NIH and medical experts and scientists having to rely on his opinion for what public health information gets released to help you treat your patients.
Well imagine no more. RFK Jr is the guy that helped put the hubris into these guy's craniums.
Agreed.
As I have said before, as long as we are relying upon personal experience for our "medical expertise" opinions, I have maintained a comprehensive set of vaccines (including COVID) throughout my entire adult life. During that 40-year period, I have missed work because I was sick on three occasions.
I dare any anti-vax MAGA supporter to top that.
You lose.
I have never taken a day off from work due to sickness in over 25 years.

No clotshot ever, no flu shot ever.
Purebloods rule!
You have never had a vaccine of any kind? I'm skeptical.
Trump and Elon Musk are not new characters on the US or global stage. They are well known. We have an encyclopedia full of Trump unlawful fraud and business misconduct going back decades.
I don’t know how any rational person can assume that these two guys woke up on Nov 6th with an altruistic and righteous vision for the country and are now concerned with the well being of our tax dollars. That government fraud keeps them up at night and they must fix it.
To me this is right up there with “ And Mexico will pay for it” gullibility.
From CNN: Trump told Fox his plan was to “own” Gaza. “We’ll build safe communities a little bit away from where they are, where all of this danger is and in the meantime, I would own this. Think of it as a real estate development for the future. It would be a beautiful piece of land,” he said.
