Gary do you have a passport or birth certificate? Does every voter in your family have those handy, in their current names? Would they go to a clerk to show those pieces of ID?
Do you understand that in order to vote you can't use a drivers license, but MUST have a passport or birth cert?

I have no problem showing my passport or birth certificate to an election official and neither does my family.
In CA, you can get a driver's license & registered to vote w/o proving US Citizenship- that insanity has got to stop.
Illegal aliens not only have been voting in our elections but have also been counted in our Census. I want all of them deported.

well tens of millions of US citizens have neither passport nor birth cert handy and many millions more don't have the time to go show them. That's why the SAVE bill should fail and probably will fail. it will reduce voting by an huge number.

They sent more money to the federal government than they received, which is more than can be said for Republican-led "Red" states, notably West Virginia, Mississippi, Alabama, South Carolina, Montana, Louisiana, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Idaho, Kansas, North Dakota, Wyoming, South Dakota, and Missouri. These "welfare" states should no longer have a say in Federal elections - no Senators, no House reps, and no Electoral College votes.
