Hey, all you Trumpers who hate DEI/affirmative action (more or less like I do): You know how we say that many Americans would vote for a comatose Biden over Trump? Well, the exact same thing is true about THE least qualified minority candidate one could imagine. And that’s what you risk when you pick someone as horrible as Trump as your guy. You reap what you sow.

The reason that Trumpers can cheer in a rally listening to Trump praising dictators like Xi ruling over millions with “an iron fist” is simple.

Shoot right down the freaking middle of the spectrum. Beer channel, conventional, trustworthy, ethical, etc. Both can talk to people without sounding like a bad actor.

Both are dems who win statewide in purplish states.

Sure some black voters would be angry if Harris were dropped, but they're grownups and will understand how important it is to beat Trump.

but yeah I'm sure dropping Harris would upset some on the fringe. And I too wish the Dems didn't frame everything in racial terms.

But black voters are not stupid like Republicans are stupid - they know issues matter and they know people like Trump and Vance to their souls. And they'll understand that an open convention is democracy and if it votes out your guy or gal, them's the breaks.

You'd lose a few black voters but get a whole lot of indies. That's the game.

In normal times, the Republican Candidate would graciously thank his opponent and wish him well. These aren’t normal times.

If the Dems now win this thing Joe Biden will go down in American history as one of its greatest patriots. A legit hero.

Leading the economy out of Covid to prosperity and health.

Leading the nation out of the foreign wars.

Ending a remarkable crime wave.

Ending inflation.

Managing over a record number of months of ultra-low unemployment.

Then handing the torch to the next generation and having them win, out of patriotism and duty.
