I don't understand all these posts about Jill Biden. What evidence do we have that she's the one pushing Joe to stay on? He seems pretty stubborn on his own.

DR. Jill Biden.
She's a very domineering woman, apparently. Gets super mad when the heart-of-gold nurse's aides at the nursing home bring Joe extra donuts in the morning. He forgets which flavor he likes, so making him happy is really easy.

Are most of all of them from Gary? If so, your first clue.

Gary's equally-elderly wife (I'm not buying the 50s claim) is always abrasively insisting on him doing errands around the patio home that he can no longer manage. So, Jill haranguing Joe really strikes a chord with him.

I’m on the East coast so I missed Adolf twitlers speech. Do these reviews seem accurate?
Rick Wilson: “Trump's speech was, objectively, the single worst convention acceptance speech in modern history. It was a ramblefucq disaster from start to its long-delayed finish, and nothing is going to make it better. You know. I know it. LaCivita and Wiles know it. Utter disaster.” Van Jones: “If Biden had given a speech that incoherent, that rambling, that undisciplined, Democrats would’ve hit Biden with a tranquilizer dart and drug him off. Trump was boring … undisciplined … he basically was the worst part of his own convention.”
David Axelrod on Trump’s speech: “This is the first good thing that‘s happened to Democrats in the last three weeks. This really reminded everyone why Donald Trump is fundamentally unpopular outside this room.”

Looked at in isolation (i.e., ignoring the mountain of other reasons not to vote for Trump), it is amusing that Trumpers can't see how close a call this still is:
Choice A: Guy who's brain is, at least at times, getting fuzzy.
Choice B: A guy who absolutely, positively lacks the self-control to read a "good" speech, and cannot help reverting to his standard rally rant.
Self-control and discipline are potentially kind of important for the most powerful person on earth, right ??
Oh well, I guess that he makes up for that in character. That must be it.

No, no. It's policies! He's got really good policies!

Correct. I stand corrected. Policies, THEN character. He's the total package.
I’m hearing the first 10 minutes that Trump was actually pulling off the “ different tone” act and was staying on the teleprompter.
But then he couldn’t control himself and reverted back to his typical self absorbed insanity. . And then he droned on about 3 times longer than it should have been because he loves to hear himself talk.
Trump is like that ancient rock band. He starts with the new stuff but quickly realizes the crowd ain’t having it. So goes back to playing his greatest hits:
Hannibal Lector, windmills, inflation, crime, locking up immigrants, election was stollen, Putin and Kim Jung are swell guys.
