Hi Rudy,
Glad you could take time out from defending Trump to help an even bigger liar!
Summary you requested:
He cheated; he quit; and now it’s a trans-Canada dog-and-pony show.

You are way too stupid to not be a trump supporter.
Smart enough to predict how this “run” would end...
The sad truth is that dave hoped to break Al’s record AND the Guinness record. The requirements are completely different, plus Guinness needs new records to sell new editions every year, whereas I actually have firsthand experience and knew it was impossible before dave even started.
Thanks to the many insiders who have assisted me. Unpopular people like me are handy “front men” for our team of knowledgeable critics.
How unpopular? Markus suggested I would be in prison if I organized races in Germany. Fortunately we were in the Australian Outback then, and German courts lacked jurisdiction.
Marvin Skagerberg dispensed with earthly punishment, his last words to me suggested I would organize every race in Hell.
Emile Laharrague (whose own nickname was Diablo) instead compared me to Hitler.
Peter Gray punched me in the face!
No hard feelings, boys, it just one more good story now.
Marvin, by the way, is 80 now and still running well. He kicked my butt three years ago, the last race we both did.
Likewise, Donald Winkley, another of my octogenarians who makes me look bad! Dave is truly cheating himself by avoiding multiday races, the friendships last a lifetime, and so do the rivalries, ha ha...
RIP Ed Williams: Ron Perkins assured me that Trans Am was the greatest adventure of your life.
Ed once told me: “A race is bigger than the people in it, bigger than the people who organize it.” A great truism.
The Bunioneers (first Trans America race, 1928) used to tell reporters that, “The world ain’t round round, it’s a long, flat road!”
Al Howie’s biggest issue was eating. A gifted, natural runner often finds it easier to put out energy than take it in. He puked up a couple of meals early on, but by the end we would buy donuts by the boxful (or anything that looked good).
Stick with it, and you adjust. An old saying is, “No runner ever starved to death during a race.”
Many of my stories of mayhem & violence took place in the early part of my 5 transcon races. A legend like Kruglikov said the first half of Australia was the toughest run of his life! And he won easily. Imagine life in the back of the pack.
So if you read the bland, phony exaltation from the start of dave’s run, it’s obviously bs.
Jesse is a Hillary lover! That’s hilarious!!!!
Who could have thought?
Dave Proctor, love the phony names, not much actual running, though!
So you’re scheduled to drive to the Staples in Sudbury Thursday. You can rest that herniated disc & have lots of time to think up new handles & respond to people who don’t “believe” in you! Win win.
And you’re right, times have changed. Terry Fox dropped out with one leg & cancer, and he still made it halfway. Without technology, guess he just needed heart.
Keep trashing paper records, by the way. Terry Fox signed his name in the log books of town en route. His “documentation” methods were not only appropriate, they are treasured in towns across Canada.
Dave has clearly not witnessed those well-thumbed pages, but I have. You’ll never fake that, and no one will save your Strava records from last week, not to mention last century.
Great strategy, West to east. That way you can quit before you face a single comparison to what Terry did on the same road.
Someone clearly wanted to get respect before giving any.
