👆somebody finally gets it. it doesn’t start and end here but this is the common bond that does not budge. You believe in it or you don’t and we aren’t here to make it impossible to defend yourself at all times. Will be a cold day in h*ll before we let you nut jobs take, or in any way harness, our ability to defend ourselves while you let in 20,000,000 unknowns loaded to the hilt with weapons you haven’t even searched for, let alone concerned with.
Genuinely curious where you stand on United States v. Hemani.
Our president is now demanding fees from companies. Unprecedented muckery in the private sector by an all-powerful cabal of DC politicians. You idiots used to want DC out of business. Now you are Socialists, demanding private companies share with the government.
WSJ:
The Trump administration is set to receive a roughly $10 billion fee from investors in the recently completed deal to take control of TikTok’s U.S. business, delivering it a windfall for keeping the popular social-media app alive in America.
The payment is part of the agreement through which investors friendly with the administration gained control of TikTok’s U.S. operations from Chinese parent ByteDance, people familiar with the matter said. It comes in addition to the investments made to create a new entity to run the app in the U.S.
MAGA =/= conservative
Tariffs = taxes
These people are all about nonsense talk, even when they flip flop on reality. You can't believe or trust them on anything. Complete lack of principles.
Important ruling today regarding the subpoenas served on Powell and the Federal Reserve. The DOJ subpoenas got squelched (mushed). Given a chance to provide even a smittance of evidence that the DOJ was conducting a proper investigation into Powell and/or the Federal Reserve (specifically, into the renovations at the Federal Reserve Building), the DOJ declined to provide ANY evidence (i.e., they had none) and relied entirely on its argument that the budget for renovations was exceeded, so therefore a crime may have been committed. No court in the country would be impressed with such trivial efforts and argument. Squelch.
The destruction of a professional, functioning Department of Justice is probably the worst thing Trump ever did. Most Americans aren't sophisticated enough to realize that, and understand the enormous amount of work, effort and time (decades) that went into building a professional DOJ. Truly sad to watch this. We'll probably never get it back in our life times.
With no shame, what is the disincentive for Trump and his puppets to continue to try this over and over again?
So in addition to not actually wanting Fed independence or an independent Judicial Branch, you also aren't a fan of the 1st Amendment. Which part of the US Constitution is acceptable to you?
For most Trumpers, the Constitution begins and ends with the 2nd Amendment.*
*(Just don’t bring your gun to a protest)
And we can be certain that that is not and would not be the only exception.
