Thankfully they are losing their court cases to do so. I also learned today that this whole process of certifying the state counts, sending the results to congress to count the boxes in a formal Congressional ceremony serves no necessary function whatsoever. An Excel spreadsheet could do the same and tally it all up. Instead, this is a tradition that was formally a celebration of DEMOCRACY. It was like a nationwide parade for democracy that all could support. It was a time for all people, regardless of party to come together and celebrate that another election was complete and run successfully. It was a moment of national pride.
That was until 2020. When Donald J Trump and all his right wing conmen tried to get the nation to believe Certification and tallying vote counts was some type of fraud against them.
