Looks like Ben did do a 6x4k, which is a decent session. However he did it with 90s jog recovery, whereas you normally should be doing that with something like 1k float @ 90% MP (which is a far bit harder).
as much as i dislike Bester - he just seems so fake, creepy, unauthentic and desperate for likes - but fair play to the man. His Vitality 10k video was the first Ive watched all the way through and, considering he was running with Eilish for the majority, he got considerably more shout outs from the crowd and other runners. Not hard to see how his ego is as big as it is

Yes whatever you say about Bester you’ve got to hand it to him, he knows how to knuckle down and train well and get the best out of his ability.
Very impressive 10k time for someone about to hit their 40s and bulkier than his peers. From what I’ve read it was a tough day weather wise and the course was long too.

He has ran at least 100k weeks, every week, for almost 3 years or more. He really should be faster than he is. He trains very poorly IMO
I have no issues with Meg, and TBH I think some of the vitriol on this thread is a little embarrassing, but I think trying to be an accessory to Ben's channel instead of doing her own thing is a bad move. She does come across as a bit bland and overbearing, but it's hard not to when you're essentially the 'and now a break for the weather' guy, only now with slightly too much airtime and no real opportunity to develop your own narrative or find your own target audience without detracting from the one you're appearing in.
If anything the benefit of being associated with a larger YouTuber is that you tend to attract a bit more initial attention and 'inherit' some viewers to start with. That's a huge advantage given generating enough initial traction is a big hurdle for most channels with the amount of existing content, not to mention the resource/lifestyle investment is already pretty much there. She likes fashion and travels to big races, i'm sure she could probably find a crowd. This thread would hate it, and it would probably be a lot more fun than the BIR train.
Bit of a sad watch really, youtuber goes to the pub at lunchtime to get smashed on their own. Is this what happens if you quit your job to become a coach?

Ha, this is priceless. And he only got to the UK 2 years ago by boat.
Believe in the run comes very close to an epiphany in this week’s podcast. Thomas complains about how friends and people in their running community will ask in group chats about specific shoes, if anyone has run in them, what they think, etc. and they’re like “yes, we literally just reviewed those and put out a video last week!” Dude, no one is taking your opinions of a shoe you ran 20 miles at 9:30 pace in seriously, especially not people who know you.
They dismiss this as people just “wanting to have their opinions validated.” Then admit they’re just “shills anyway.” Yes, BITR, you 100% are and only morons trust your shoe reviews.

Don’t forgot to add the part where the followers were asked to buy the drinks. I actually like his reels generally and think he’s a good lad but this was a strange one and probably worse than the typical Ben is begging type shilling.
I know the whole posting your Wetherspoons table online for randomers to order you random drinks is popular in the UK but it just seemed out of character for our man here.
It's true -Floberg's best improvements were when he was following Pfitzinger's plans closely.
The BPN move was bad for Floberg in so many ways. He lost a lot of "real" runner followers. He also started to become even more of a narcissist at that point. I actually stuck with him through the Boston build but then he aligned with Matt Fox and the final straw was the day before Chicago and he didn't attend his kids playoff baseball game as he wanted to rest (in reality he joined a BPN shakeout) what about #corememories? - it's been downhill for the man since then
Agree, the BPN move was bad. Didn't his best progress come under Jeff Cunningham, not Pfitz? JC seems more like Jack Daniels. He's a bit too much to watch (like, too hyper) but the substance is good, like very good.
Ben Is Running gushing over his PB and attributing it all to his training. Let's ignore the fact he bicarb'd for this race and was paced by an Olympian for a fair portion of it
What's going on with eggboi? Saw he bombed a 100-miler attempt and just checked out his channel, the daily vlog has not been daily for several months now. Is the end near? Or is the GREAT REBIRTH about to happen.
Does Flobuns realise his inability to pace is linked to having earphones glued into his ears for every workout? Take them out and focus on the running man
