This is highly anecdotal based on what I tend to see, but it seems that Fridays often sell off only to have Mondays be strongly up. If that is the case, going leveraged long could be a good swing trade.
I didn't really understand the market reaction to that. I would have thought that it would be greeted positively since it would offer reason for Fed to start cutting earlier since it indicates economy is moderating and not running too hot. Maybe it fueled recession fears?
Earnings Scorecard: For Q1 2024 (with 98% of S&P 500 companies reporting actual results), 78% of S&P 500 companies have reported a positive EPS surprise and 61% of S&P 500 companies have reported a positive revenue surprise.
