What an interesting "race" that is shaping up:

Mimi- Making inexorable steady progress towards a major new record, but with (very?) questionable verification (somewhat Darren-like).

Sandy- Making irregular progress towards a record (showing the struggles of a mortal who actually DOING it?) but with seemingly bombproof (Pete-like) verification.

It has already been proven that gps data, even live tracking, can be spoofed.

The legit runs need complete video footage with gps data at the same time. Otherwise, they are bogus.

Just try posting these doubts on the uk Facebook group ultrarunning community - the post would be locked or deleted in seconds. They love defending anyone dodgy.

She simply isn't providing enough evidence and is well aware what she needs to do, though she is thick.

She's a bored rich housewife who is rather dim and not very clued up about dodgy people. She's also incredibly boastful, I mean really, calling yourself "marvellous" is sad. Save that for others to call you this, don't declare it yourself.

Would do her good to come under scrutiny as she is hailed a hero in the uk and never doubted or questioned.

She's way better than Sandra, but Sandra is logging the journey far better.

It has now been 7 hours since we saw Mimi's GPS tracker turned off and it is still off while the support car is now moving again with its tracker on and the RV having its GPS tracker turned off. This is not the proper way to document a transcon.

Is this the first day you've been monitoring Mimi? I feel like this (the inexplicable gaps) may have happened at least a couple of times before, but people haven't been scrutinizing her run the way they have Sandy's (see the last of activity in the thread dedicated to Mimi).

But Scam_W, you keep bringing up the 'spoofing of realtime GPS tracking', as if it is a problem associated with Mimi. But that is not the problem here, and is not why the Mimi effort appears to be a fraud. 'Realtime spoofing' is just a crazy straw man that diverts away from the much worse travesty going on here.

'Realtime spoofing' is NOT easily done in the first place. Secondly, if it were tried, then a cheat would quickly be exposed with surprise visitors.

This stuff is easily understood, which is why a fraudulent would make efforts to try and discount any GPS tracking as worthless, so they can and will try to excuse the non-use of realtime tracking.
