McMillan has raced twice this year once attached and once unattached. Tagliapietra has not made a start this year. First glance it seems they might both be redshirting but according to UWM’s website last year Tagliapietra used one last year after he “Suffered an injury midway through his first collegiate meet and did not compete again ... received a medical hardship waiver and maintained freshman eligibility.” Does anyone know what injury he suffered to get a hardship and then come back and run 14:30 indoors last year? Doesn’t make sense that he’s not racing unless he’s hurt again.

This ranking is wrong on so many levels. La Crosse just got done with a dominating performance, sending many "D1" schools home devastated. However, #2 is probably ok, after all Wisco finally decided to make use of their blue chip talent and actually race. That being said, there is no way that Milwaukee should be ranked #6. They have a new coach and managed to put together quite the performance at THE LOYOLA LAKEFRONT, quite the effort from a team that will make noise at Nationals this year. Finally, Oshkosh at #10? They just won Griak for the 4th straight year. That is 4 years straight. If anything this puts them as the second best team in the WIAC.
Vannucchi commits to Wisconsin! Not sure about the other top runners.
Well we just lost one of the best Wisconsin recruits to Northern Arizona - Drew Bosley just committed to them. I wonder how hard that was since his dad was a Badger! Then again, can you blame him for going there?

I am sure his dad encouraged him to go elsewhere. The state of the program has been trending downwards for a while. The team is fully in the hands of how well McDonald and Hoare do, while NAU is what Wisconsin used to be 10-15 years ago. Bosley could win Footlocker this year and still not be good enough for NAU's top 7 next year. NAU's top runner didn't run at Nutty and they still dominated. The Badger program is by no means in a bad spot, but they are no longer the team that can be missing guys and still be a top 10 team in the nation. We have seen that if they are missing a guy, they cant qualify for nationals.
Was that Milwaukee's A squad at Bradley today? Marquette just edged them out, but neither team did very well.
Not so bold prediction: Badgers win the Big Ten.

Track talk is an embarrassment. This site is also embarrassing but not as bad as tracktalk.
Milwaukee ends season 2nd at Horizons and moves to 13th in regional ranking for first time on list this year.
Marquette 4th at BigEast and moves to 12th in regional rankings.
Wisconsin stays 1st after dominating Big 10s.
I dont know about that. Colorful site that I enjoy but I still post here too. People seem to be more in it for the sport and posts are quality. The admin won't put up with crap from the anons which is cool. I'd rather have less than more with all the negative here.

Yeah but that admin also tracks people's ip addresses and routinely makes personal stacks on people that approach girls he likes...
The veracity of the above post is what makes this place difficult to keep coming back to. I can personally attest that posters there including the zen himself are more knowledgeable and as a result the discussion remains ordained and unequivocally more civil. When the site went down in August I missed it.

I mean, I wasn't lying. It wasn't meant to be inflammatory, Zen does (or did) some creepy stuff.
I personally don't use tracktalk anymore for that reason, don't want to support the guy who runs it.
