Democrats are not against being required to show an ID at the polls or being able to prove that one is a US citizen in order to register to vote. What they are against is what the SAVE America Act will require when going to vote, that being:
1. A photo ID + a passport. Many don't have a passport. Don't have one one and want one? $130
or
2. A photo ID + a birth certificate. The name on the birth certificate must match the name on the photo ID. Most married women don't have that. Many people have misplaced their birth certificate.
or
3. Papers from military service (not a military ID)
The Trump sheeple are too stupid to realize that this will affect them as well.
Again, no Democrat is against one needing to prove that they're a US citizen in order to vote.

Cowardly Republicans get at least a little bit of a pass from many because, supposedly, the Trump consequences of resisting Trump are so scary. Despite the continued living and breathing of a (sadly small) handful of outspoken anti-Trump Republicans.
POS titans of industry get at least a little bit of a pass from many because they're "looking out for the company and shareholders" by not resisting Trump. I guess that FEDEX and a small number of other companies are either immune to those negative consequences, or simply didn't get the memo about being cowards-in-the-name-of-profits.
