He saw 2 people apparently doing very well economically, who were nonetheless convinced that the economy was hosed. One can question exactly what those anecdotes mean, and how representative they are, but I don't see how they're tainted by "his view." Nor how his telling of these stories would have been directly caused by any brainwashing OF HIM.

And about media, seriously? The equivalency stuff coming from people who ought to know much better is exhausting. Let's imagine that he has mainstream, left-leaning sources. And "the others" have current right wing media feeds. HE WINS. No question. More lies, less lies. More bias, less bias. More Trumpism, less Trumpism.

Any Democrats who know what they are talking about would not. Inflation is not that bad right now. It's JUST a tad higher than historic norms, and WAY down from where it was. What has been said multiple times, in multiple ways by multiple posters is that "the left" and/or Democrats can be annoying, dumb, wrong and biased. But even with that, they are not even remotely on the same scale as the party of Trump.

Ever since Trump arrived as the savior of the Republican Party, the GOP, Fox and aligned media have abandoned the notion of truth entirely and have consistently acted in a way that does not align with democratic principles or the foundations of our nation. Collectively they represent an existential threat to America and are the greatest threat to human freedom and progress in the world.

These are not roughly equivalent problems with the Democrats vs the Republicans.

Stephen Kissler, an assistant professor of computer science at CU Boulder, was a co-author for the study.
"The main findings from our paper was that social distancing had a huge beneficial impact on reducing the total mortality during the COVID pandemic," said Kissler. "Our argument was that it was the combination of social distancing and vaccination together, that we really needed both of those components to have this... big reduction in mortality."
The research indicates that 68% of Americans got vaccinated before being infected. Nearly 2 million people would have died without vaccines or protective measures, according to the study.
