do you think it's the missed water bottle?

Watching Yamauchi run is the most beautifully painful thing I've ever seen. This guy is awesome. Rupp is done thank God.
Shadrack Biwott I think still in it. Legit. Can't tell what's up with Rupp.
I don't understand why Geoffrey would strike this early.
‘Africans can’t run in the cold’. How many of you douche bags have said that?!
USA is crumppinh

Kirui is surging and Rupp is falling off at the moment. This is a BIG MOVE from Kirui. He's got about 15 meters on chasers and a lot more on Rupp.
I think it's strategic on Rupp's part. He's going to watch these fools start slowing down on the hill while he has plenty in the tank.
Kirui looks great! Or should I say, "proud"

Women's notes:
20K: 1:15:44
HALF: 1:19:41. Daska now starting to push and has a gap of about 30 meters. Daska’s lead now up to about 60 meters during mile 14. It is now POURING. Winds up to 25mph in Boston.
Mile 14: 5:37 (1:24:38) Daska has a very big lead now at 14 miles (80-90m). Chase pack is eight women -- Huddle, Kiplagat, Flanagan among them.
Mile 15: 6:05 (1:30:42) Linden now making a surge, starting to gain some separation from chase pack. She is making a long push. They’re trying to close the gap gradually but it’s still Daska well out in front.
Kiplagat and Linden and one other breaking away from chasers and going after Daska. Lead was as big as 30 seconds but now it’s down to 18.
Mile 16: 5:45 (1:36:27) Chesir, Linden and Kiplagat, are the three trying to run down Daska. They are separating from the rest of the pack.
Men
Mile 13: 5:04 (65:22)
HALF: 1:05:59 (2:11:59 pace)
Mile 14: 5:21 (1:10:43)
Men ran the first 14 miles nearly 14 minutes faster than the women!!! 13:55. IT's going to screw up the tv coverage so bad as they will finish within minutes of each other.
The men need to start first and one race should finish when the other is at the halfway point. I'd have the wheelchair racers do a different course at the start so you can start them and not worry about them getting run over.
I was thinking the same thing Rojo. The coverage at the finish is going to be epically bad
Rupp running like he's got to use the bathroom. How long can kawauchi hang on when the pace gets hot?
this just in (my head): now that rupp is dropped he will quit within the next 10k.

No. Well not unless there is something in there that sholdn't be ;)
On the other broadcast they said he was the only guy to run over and get a bunch of water out of cups that they have for the masses.
I think this is the first time I've watched a marathon on TV and they actually showed the break away. It actually didn't happen during a commercial or while they were doing a human interest story.
WOW!

Like a podcast or something.
If people can use Twitch to livestream them playing video games, why not use it for the BrosJo giving race commentary?
To quote the little kid Miami Heat fan when LeBron was there "good try, good effort" USA
Guess these conditions are not Rupp certified after all
KIRUI LOOKS SO PROUD!! wtf

Very proud
Rupp on his own, for the first time not drafting. Doesn't look good for him. Kirui strong, but it's still a long way to go into the headwind.
