Laactic seems to think BYU ran well - Alder, Lovell, Rohatinsky, Roberts all placed higher than pre race assessment while the others were pretty much right on the pre race assessment.
As the starter of this thread, I felt like popping in here to say, during race review, I just made a shocking discovery. It is so sublime, so incredible, so beautiful and so wonderful.
I realize if I was a curious reader, I would probably be a bit peeved if the OP did not reveal this discovery which he has announced that he discovered. But maybe there are a few out there that want to go on a treasure hunt and discover this for themselves, so shall I first give them that opportunity?
It’s so wonderfully incredible that you can’t make it up.
Before forgetting to do so, I will now share the amazing factoid I came across, so here goes:
Adding up the finishing times for NC State’s top five finishers at the recent National Championshipsgives a total time of 1:35:53.8, an average of 19:10.8 for the five runners.
Adding up the finishing times for BYU’s top five finishers also gives a total time of 1:35:53.8.
To a tenth of a second, the total time of each team’s top runners was EXACTLY the same!

I wonder if Washed-Up Grad Student cares to speculate what the odds are of that happening?😆

I discovered this when looking over the results posted at the live timing site:
I haven’t looked at all of the newly published LACCTiC data, but I did notice LACCTiC went back and retroactively changed Jane’s TiC previously awarded at the Big12, from 14:42 to 14:39. How many races into the future does that potentially happen?
As I’ve said after the 14:42 TiC award, I thought it was probably a wee bit too generous, because it was based upon Naukot being in the race, and I think Naukot’s rating is probably a bit inflated because her track 10000m was awarded a TiC that exceeds the 5000m equivalent.
