Very lazy rankings....just a filler without real research even if season is just a couple of weeks old.
why is jesuit 2? idk man... why can't they glaze and overrated other regions, why does california always have to be the victim of being overrated
I hope the nxn committee doesn't look at these rankings. I don't want our region to get an at-large, just to finish dead last and everyone hate our region for it. But you never know with Rich Gonzalez
Elias Thronson wins the De La Salle Invite in 15:02. Alijah Murillo in 2nd with 15:09
Non competitive garbage meet. Why would anyone go to that?
Maybe they don't want to travel? A lot of coaches aren't a fan of Woodbridge for various training-related reasons. Some coaches have their athletes doing more base-related training/races in September and believe a fast course like Woodbridge could peak their athletes too early.
Thronson is coached by the GOAT Bill Gregg. I'd love to hear his reasoning for not going to Woodbridge because he probably has good reasoning, but I do believe he knows what the hell he's doing with his athletes.
Dublin with another good showing at De La Salle. The 3 boys teams that have been much better than I expected are Valencia, Mt Carmel and Dublin. Valencia and Mt Carmel didn't even make the cut on my "Relative Strength List" of 40+ teams, so I it will be interested to see how they do at Woodbridge.
Mt View 10th today at Woodbridge. 5th California team, without Goldberg(he's their 1,2or 3. They went out very slow and then moved up. They have a real shot at NXN come November.

A fast course does not peak runners, not does any course. The training plan as set up by the coach creates the peak.
A coach may simply want to avoid Woodbridge, if their team was still in base building phase and was looking for competitive meets closer to section and state meets.
