Maybe I'm overly optimistic, but all those hundreds of disciples who went to jail have hundreds of friends who saw what their Jan 6 involvement did to damage their lives. We already see this at the Trials and hearings. People are not coming to his defense in large numbers.

worse, obviously. They're all in on Trump and they think God is on their side. If they lose again they'll go utterly bonkers. We saw what happened last time they lost - they attacked the US Congress, tried to kill the veep, all in an effort to stay in power despite losing an election .
Next time they'll get organized and militias will go on missions. It will be very ugly.

3.5 years. Not a single re-count - even ones commissioned by them - goes their way. Not a single successful legal challenge.
But from the trailer park to the Senate, say it was fraudulent, anyway. And have tons of "swing voters" apparently be OK with this.

Some of you probably know much more than I do about the founding. Correct me if I'm wrong: They struggled with how to properly replace a king without creating another king, and considered the threat of inflation to be a roughly co-equivalent danger. I AM willing to claim as extremely damn close to "insane" the fact that the Supreme Court is STILL mulling over absolute Presidential immunity.
And not being a lawyer and not really knowing sh** about it, I want to believe that there MIGHT be a good reason. But I still tend to doubt it. And what does a significant delay in answering that question say about our f***** country?
Was it a more complicated question than I think? OK, fine. Put every other case aside, sleep 4 hours a night, and get a f***** answer out.

If you are going to court with accusations, you must commit to showing evidence. Trump's team could not do that so they were rejected. It was all for show.
trump will run for president every year until he is forced to stop doing so by some wall he can't break. Could be health, could be jail. But the second he stops running for president is the second he loses his leverage so he can't stop.
The one exception is media...if he can put together a big enough media empire where people still somehow care about what he says and send him money when he asks....well that could pull him out of politics. His true heroes and role models are right wing talk radio hosts and in a better world that is where he would have spent his days.
Instead of trying to destroy the US from the inside.
