It's clear to see the Trump campaign is in serious trouble. Let's reflect on this. Just a few short weeks ago, Biden was still in the race and Trump had momentum. Someone literally tried to kill him, and then they had the RNC. Trump seemed to be on the rise.

Today, his numbers are dropping. His crowd size is tiny compared to 2016 and 2020. There are no yard signs to be seen (I live in Indiana, and I see none). The assassination attempt was back page news after a week, which is very weird. No one knows anything else about the shooter. No one knows what happened to the injured people. Trump didn't even go to the funeral though he likes to talk about Corey. His VP pick is weird and keeps sticking his foot in his mouth. He still wants to attack Biden, who's no longer in the race, and can't seem to land a punch on Kamala.

They've resorted to bizarre lines of attack like "she hasn't done an interview in three weeks" as if anyone cares, or anyone even tracks that sort of thing. He's flailing around in front of ever-shrinking crowds. It's very low-energy, very sad. He goes on X and spouts grievances through loose dentures. He sounded like daffy duck.

Harris has energy, and enthusiasm. She's a breath of fresh air while Trump hammers the same tired lines he first rolled out in 2016. It's clear he can't innovate and change. He's tired, his shtick is tired, and other than the true-believers, no one is buying his dystopian, America is terrible vision.

Agip, you're a good guy. So I will say this in nice terms.

When faced with a choice between:

a) stating the politically correct thing (he misspoke), which is not altogether false - he did misspeak in the sense that he said something in a way that those who do not understand English easily misunderstand, especially if it makes them feel good - and then move on.

or

b) get into a discussion about the English language that will be above the comprehension level of the target audience (as seen on these very message boards), and will tend to drag the whole thing out

Although, if you are a veteran, I do wish that you'd include the level of detail that nearly 100% of this board (even the Trumpers) would absolutely believe, like: "I had the lowest OER (evaluation) score of any soldier of my rank who served in 'OIF II.'"

The more I see Harris calling the shots with the "Media and Press pool" the more I respect her. She will wisely pick and choose which outlets to give interview to and when. She has the power

The Political media are not honest brokers. And frankly they are amateur 3rd rate journalists and click bate farmers. They have no interest in policy or substance. Trump uses the media because he has them in his pocket and has decades of abusing them. If she gave one interview, it would be nonstop defending herself against whatever Trump is lying about at that moment. Then Trump wins. It becomes he said she said. At the moment they can't play that game because Harris won't let them.

If you want to tell how pathetic the media is just look at Biden's terrible debate. If you print out the transcripts and read them objectively you would conclude that Trump is a lying simpleton and his answers were disastrous but Biden gave honest answers about real policy. Yet for 3 weeks it was all about Biden's senior moments.

The only people that desperately want Harris in front of the media are the Trump campaign and the media.

Focusing on the irrelevant difference of whether Trump's high was 31,000 or 36,000 detracts from the shameless stupidity of claiming Biden's high was 200% of either number.
