to save anyone else's time/trouble, i signed up for the free trial of that kaizen app that floberg was hocking, and it's pretty half-baked. not sure how their algorithm works but the predictions that it gives me are pretty unrealistic. UI is like a hackathon project.
The predictions it gave me were horrendous and way off. It was saying 3:22 for my current marathon time which is 15+ minutes slower than my pb, and then it was saying that it could get me down to a 2:54 from 3:22 in 87 days lol

Flo's video today, the whispering pretty cringe at the start. Love the script, might've needed a few more edits. Can't watch these videos all the way through.
Managed to skip to the end of the race, then the interview with his wife. Eeesh, might wanna edit that out. She was lookin' pretty haggard and a bit over it.

Ah bloody love your channel mate. One of the best. Hope the trainings going well

I saw his short video on Strava and that was enough.
Kofuzi posting his Sport Tours Infomercial and of course not disclosing that they paid him for it in the video itself. He even tries to make a ridiculous justification for not disclosing it in the video.
Kofuzi wrote:
Disclosure: No one is paying me to make this video or to include their brand in this video. However, Sports Tours was my travel sponsor for this trip, and they were the tour group that I used both for lodging and for securing my race bib. I didn't mention the name of the tour group in this video, but their logo did show up on the screen at a couple of instances during some b roll, so I make the disclosure.
Hey Kofuzi, if they paid $5k plus for your travel, they absolutely were paying you to make the video. Glad you had a good time.

I could barely get past that cringe whisper sh-t. Race video is good except it’s kind of weird seeing skinny white bros go all out on some suburban neighborhood course no one cares about. I got like 5 seconds into his interview with his wife before I couldn’t take anymore. “How do you think I did today?” 🤢

Comment on the video: "I get the biggest chills when he says in no time with that music layered in. Every. Single. Time." are these people real.
Surely you have to stay to watch his tree talk - which is now used to promote his sponsors and to get people to donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an impoverished charity with multiple billions in reserves and yearly donations pushing $2 billion.

I get douche chills throughout every one of his videos these days. Dude has lost his mind. Tree time!
Since this thread is mostly insults & negativity, just wanted to say thanks for this rec. Seems like a solid dude who doesn't train like a total idiot, which is a rarity

Weird that, eh?
It may come as a surprise that it's not all negativity, more realistic. There's a lot of wanky YouTubers out there.
RanToJapan nearly fits your criteria, although he (arguably) doesn't fall into the 'doesn't train like a total idiot' bracket.
MARM is also great if you can handle some British banter. Don't like Crown My Run, personally, but its another popular one here.
FODRunner, who participates here, is another great one.
There's some solid YouTubers out there, if you can ignore the likes of Kofuzi, Philly, Bester, Felton, Broberg, and Seth.
Whisper it but The Welsh Runner is quietly putting together a very solid looking block for Berlin marathon 👀
no chance, he looks like hes carrying a bit of a spare tire. standard procedure of smashing all sessions as fast as possible on that council estate pancake flat loop.
absolutely nothing new here so how does he expect a different result? accounting for the excess baggage, likely we will see the wrong side of 2:30
Cole needs some serious time off and re-evaluation. he knows if he runs 140 miles per week, he can run well. but this volume is clearly unsustainable with his part-time job and young age. he would be better served doing a slow build up to seeing if he can hold 80-90 miles per week and remaining healthy. he probably wont get the same spectacular results, but he will likely enjoy his running more and avoid serious health/mental issues which its pretty clear, are already present
Cole is making the mistakes many do without proper guidance. He has his London result and rushed for more immediately.
A simple step back , evaluate what happened and how to better it for next Spring would have been logical.
Injuries are part of the game, and tbh he might be able to manage the mileage, but not how he went about it.
If he wanted more this year it should be more of the same not more . More volume, more intensity..more more more...Floberg the same . More is only the answer when you've maxed out current volume in my humble opinion.
He hasn't factored in the time to do more . Now injured. (Floberg not improving= not handling)
Shoetuber Ed Bud's one and only marathon, from Strava; Manchester April 2025, 3:34:19, average pace 8:07/mile Also from Strava, Ed Bud today; "easy recovery" run, 3.57 miles in 30:03, average pace 8:25/mile
I mean yes Edd Budd is probably running his easy runs too fast but I appreciate (as far as I'm aware) that he's never tried to tell anyone how to train or tried to sell anyone some coaching.
On that basis I tend to cut him a bit more leeway.

that is an easy run.
what you are forgetting is that a 2:30 marathoner avergage pace is 5:45per mile. if this person were to run for 3 and a half hours, there average pace might be 6:30per mile
would it be outrageous if this same person ran an easy run at 7:00-7:15 per miles?
the bloke only ran for 30 minutes, its not like he was out there smashing himself and the marathon inevitably had a massive postive split as most runners of that level arent fit enough and generally slow drastically in the later miles
I agree, and I quite like the guy. But is someone with only one pace the right kind of person to be reviewing shoes? How can he tell the difference between a good marathon racing shoe and a good daily trainer?
