I was sadden that JSerra was disqualified in the 4x800. I wasn't sure why they were DQ'd. . But then I watched PoMan's video, thanks so much, and at 1:43 in the during the race you can clearly see the JSerra girl cut off the Scripps Ranch runner causing her to lose her balance. I believe that was the disqualification as I saw no other violation.
PoMan post the 3200 videos. Once thanks for the great work you do.
There's no way that move 600M into the race was worthy of a DQ. That night, we heard that there was obstruction possibly at a handoff, but I watched every exchange and there is NOTHING. Something ain't right here.
JSerra had a great race, an excellent year and deserved to be on that podium.
Yeah, on the second lap of a race with 18 runners things are very congested. It can be hard to move anywhere without causing someone to chop their stride. If this is a DQ, then the Arcadia boys 3200m should have about 10 DQs every year. I still think there must be something else not caught on camera.

What ain't right and what isn't caught on camera is the fact that the meet director (who makes DQ decisions) is the head coach of Buchanan. Don't go thinking he's going to cut any favors for JSerra considering their rivalry.

LOL. Meet directors cant disqualify people. Only the head referee can disqualify someone.
He seemed to be sitting at the back the lead pack for a little bit then absolutely died. I think he split an 80 second last lap. I really thought he would win having the second fastest 32 going in and he was fresh.
What happened to Cooper stream ?Thought he would be in the mix for the 3200.
He’ll be back next year. Idk if anyone notice but Stream’s Junior PRs are fastest than another Fairfield legend and Olympian’s Senior PRs (besides the 3200), Luis Grijalva. Stream (4:06, 8:50, 14:48). Grijalva (4:07, 8:45, 14:49)

w800: combe
w1600: combe
w3200: bharadwaj, because she won't be doubling. also, palo alto runners have peaked really, really, well for the state meet over the last few years.

15/22! not bad. could be better though, that's only a 68%. I got close with a few!!
There’s no such thing as a Sadie triple at State. Combe’s Triple Crown accomplishment was unprecedented - likely in the entire country’s HISTORY. We can’t find anyone, anywhere who has tried it, let alone won all 3. In 2023, Sadie doubled in the 8 and 16. In 2024, she beat Combe in the 1600 and had that amazing comeback to win the 4x8, but no triple. Nobody had tried or succeeded in the 8/16/4x8 triple. Combe stands alone with that one. I’ve always said Engelhardt is the CA goat, and she could have cemented that with her typical greatness her senior year, but she didn’t run that season… so Combe’s accomplishments this year has to be considered the greatest in State History for mid-distance. This, coming from a huge Sadie fan.

JSerra not at full strength in boys 4x800? Their combined 800 PR's was under 7:30 and Morales anchored in 1:51 after 75 minutes rest after winning individual title.

Isn’t he the one who DQ’d a Great Oak runner at the XC 2024 state meet for false starting?

In men's 3200 Matilda Torres runner cuts off St. Mary's runner about 20 seconds into the race. In men's 4x800 announcer says at about 2:12 race time lots of pushing and shoving as the boys looking for position (from PoMan video). Yet no DQ's from those races.
I don't know how this gets reported. They have the persons with those white and yellow flags about every 50 meters. I'm guessing those are the persons that report violations. Which is subjective. What maybe a violation to one may not be to another.
She has not hit sub 2:09 in World Athletics sanctioned meet yet. We are planning to give a shot in June. But frankly speaking 2:08-2:07 range is not that attractive for Federation. Only hope we have is living close to Oregon, That might justify ( I mean cost wise)
I see that Azra is running the Hoka 800 tomorrow.
How fast does she need to run for her 800 time to be attractive for the Turkiye Federation to put her into the European U18 and the World U20?
I was also curious about the DQ. In Poman's video an official raises the yellow flag at about 3:58. The only other team that was DQ (San Pedro) was for an exchange violation, and they are not in the exchange zone at that time. I don't see the "impeding" though

Before someone steals my thread. Yes it's way too early but that's the whole fun of it. What teams have a bunch of girls that are returning next year to work their way up the standings? Who will remain dominate? Talk about yo...
