A couple of notes: High school senior Daniel Skandera ran 8:12:46 for 3k at the JDL meet yesterday. Regarding Whit Longhurst: really good kid whose high school is two miles from Wake Forest’s campus. His dad ran for Wake in the 90’s and runs the JDL facility.

Yup his 8:12:46 ties Jaden Merrick for the number 1 so far, also says they can both go sub 8:50. Merrick ran a 14:11 5k this weekend for the us number 1 and that says he’s flirting with sub 8:43 ish 3200! Crazy times.
