It is not the worst I could find about him - it's just the most recent. And it's not bad for you if someone changes the facts by 180 degrees - to the complete opposite? There are countless exampled for this behavior. No problem for you?
I could give you dozens of examples. But when I see the way you describe the one I mentioned here there really seems to be no chance to discuss these things with you seriously.
I'm factually wrong in things? Then list those things. I'm sure you can't. But if you do I directly will agree to it.
No, I don’t know your gender -You decide your gender. And you decide if you will tell us about your gender. I couldn’t care less…
Are you factually wrong in things? Yes you are -you are factually wrong when you think you are allowed to to an extreme degree call another poster dumb, and still be considered a civil poster…
And you are also factually wrong when you call other posters worse debaters than yourself, and still refuse to take their hands when they try to be civil by saying you shouldn’t take things so seriously…
Maybe you thrive in a fight after all -I hope so. I felt bad for you for a while. -Maybe I was just being stupid… Saying that, you are welcome to a debate with me. But I sure hope it would at least be a little about running, and not only the same circles over and over again about who’s wrong or right…

No, it’s not bad for me (f.ex when he is tired of me not leaving the Houlihan case be as it is -maybe he is irritated, and in a need of arrogantly say so -fine by me. Why shouldn’t he be entitled to be somewhat firm in his wording, and honest..? -I’m not scared of him… And he might even be right.) Should I feel sore because he thinks my reasoning around Shelby is rubbish..? Why should I - I have done my best, and is pleased by that, and maybe it is rubbish..! This is only sport -I don’t care if I’m an idiot (I can just change username if I’m to embarrass over my self again), and I don’t care if Armstronglivs is an idiot occasionally. -He has made me laugh, and I have learnt a lot from him, and I am still evolving… And I also find pleasure in other posters and posts -even sometimes those who go 180 degrees away from where I wanna go..!

I don't "change the facts by 180 degrees". I stick to mine and dispute yours. Such as the claim you have just made. But you struggle to cope when you are differed with.
You clearly did.
I added clearly here in the point in question and on many occasions in this thread that there never can be a clear answer to such question like GOAT, rankings of best athletes and so on. On this occasion I added several sentences that Elliott on place 19 never can be the ultimate answer but that I could understand Harding's ranking (also for me it's too high). For sure you insulted me when I said that for me Elliott isn't in the top 20.
You on the other hand have several times just in this thread stated that it's impossible to be GOAT distance runner when you are not the best in some event. Like a fact.
And then you come up that I put Harding's ranking of Elliott on 19 as a fact like law of gravity.
Yes, that's changing the reality by 180 degrees. As you do so often.
No, it isn't. But you can't follow any thought that isn't already in your head. However, as the "curious dude" has asked, why do you let this stuff get to you? A difference of opinion and it's like your life depends on it.
Your personal attacks of another poster stay up because none of the mods can be bothered reading through them or they are so incoherent none of them can understand them.
Wherever you go, conflict happens. What's the common denominator? You. But sure, keep blaming other people for your inability at being civil.
The common denominator is posters who can't cope with being differed with or reading views they don't like.
But you did make me laugh when you talked of being civil, as though that is the norm here.

I'm pretty sure I haven't written just a single incoherent post in this thread.
Tell me the post which you think is incoherent. Nothing will come...
There are so many to choose from I don't know where to start.

I don't care if Armstronglivs is an idiot occasionally, either. In fact, it is a requirement here.

It's not a difference of opinion.
You are the one who points his view as fact. I stated again and again that for such questions there never can be an ultimate answer.
You claim that I stated my view as a fact.
Yes, you changed the whole thing by 180 degrees. As you have done many times before.

I'm just wondering why you again put a gender to me when you can't know it. And no, gender can't be "decided" by a person - it's a fact which is inherent to a person.
You don't care if you are an idiot? You don't care if others are acting like idiots?
All my calling him to be dumb is a reaction (for example, he insulted me because Elliott is not in my top 20 of distance running - really funny), always. But you are not interested in any facts.
And nothing will come where I was wrong in the "discussion" - small hint: I never was. Because I know the facts I'm talking about, because I'm not driven by my preferences for some athlete (or hate in Armstrong's case). Because I know hoe to think and to argue logically. I value Ingebrigtsen's achievements just for what they are (great) despite that I don't like him as an athlete/person. I'm also far from a Kerr fan, so I hope for Nuguse for Paris (or one of the "new" ones).

I think the gender situation is a complicated one, and yes, I think there are people who like to decide what gender they are. But I just bought your “heard about woman?” and man here we are in a fight. And I really don’t care, because I’m a married man, and isn’t allowed to flirt anyway. Guess also I’m not your type.

The gender situation is an extremely easy one. Every child knows: we have man and woman and this can't be changed. In very very few cases it's not unambiguous (which for sure doesn't constitute another gender).
If a man "feels" to be a woman, than he is exactly this: a man (who feels to be a women). And for sure should be handled with respect.
all that comes to mind is - wow this guy is emotionally immature. he needs to grow up and possibly seek therapy... shades of lance armstrong personality

Of course I don’t wanna be an idiot, at least not all the time. But some of the problem is that you take everything literally -I just acknowledged that I can be an idiot sometimes (we all can), that doesn’t mean I’m not trying to / and hope being a little better in between…
I should have asked the following some posts ago: Are you high on the autism spectrum, and even diagnosed with Aspergers? If so, nothing wrong with that, because Aspergers is something one is born with, and has multiple sides, also positive ones…
Quite a few with Aspergers syndrome have challenges (also according to themselves) with a strong black and white thinking, and taking everything to literally and seriously, and overdo right and wrong problematics, and especially struggle with context (but are good on facts). I am not saying this condescending -I myself is quite a strong right and wrong thinker (but not so much when it comes to my hobby themes, f.ex athletics). And sometimes the world are black and white. Armstronglivs f.ex engaged in a thread about Ingebrigtsens and abuse -through the whole thread he never gave any admissions to abuse as a good thing. -I agreed a 100% in his attitude there…
But even the 2+2 facts very often stands in a context that colour the facts, or is even far more important. And this context is often complex and very subjective. As far as I can see you really struggle here, and will therefore confuse subjective with objective, and will really suffer if you don’t find a good way to deal with this problematic…
Here is the error I think you are doing at this forum: You engage with posters that are too different from your self. -You really should block or scroll over posters like Armstronglivs and myself, and a lot of others. Matter of facts posters, with good reasoning skills, like John Wesley Harding, Thoughtsleader, ObjectiveObserver, Salvitore Stichmo, and quite a few others are ideal for you. But just be aware that JWH sometimes pulls his jokes a little too long into the bizarre -he has even fouled me when he over a page rants about Jakob’s big head. -He doesn’t mean it; it’s just jokes…
Even if you have no diagnosis you must have strong traits. I recommend you to skip us two mentioned as debatants - we are two old and stubborn and confident men you never can change -and you are bound to drown in the sarcasm we fairly easily can unleash when we get fed up with your accusations. But don’t think too bad about us -my wife for instance says I’m good on the bottom, and she has known me for decades… I wish you all the best!

I think I will give the word to people that find themselves in complex situations when it comes to this question. I myself is far to limited, since I always have been so secure and unquestioned about my gender identity.
My goodness, has this thread gone absolutely off the rails. Shouldn't we give stop beating this dead horse and give it a rest..? So many posts that have strayed from the original topic by now.
You ask this because I write facts? Because I'm not happy when someone changes what I have written to the opposite? When I don't like it to be called a liar when stating facts?
Really strange that someone wants to discuss something without being interested in the facts.

Yes it has, and I feel a little guilt here. Gonna do my best to get it on the rails again…
