Speaking only for myself, I don’t much care for blatantly hateful GoI.
What was hateful? Calling Christy a balding man with a deep voice, who liked to wear women’s clothes? I see that more as a statement of fact. Much the way you see the discipline of math or statistics.

GoI, I also prefer intellectually honest dialogue. You are dissembling like a school child. This is not the only thread you rant about otherness in, nor was that the first hateful post in this thread. Probably such diatribes win you favour in some circles, but I don’t care for it myself. Thought I would share that feedback.

OK, the culture wars are real. How one comes down on the removal of breast or penises in children is certainly not intellectually dishonest. The same goes for the agenda driving trans story hour in elementary schools. Or, trans masquerading as women athletes, and the thought process that it is not an affront to women. Perhaps I have reassembled the issues clearly, in chalk on the blackboard. Even a child could recognize what is actually hate.

“Sometimes I agree with you and sometimes I don't. In roughly equal proportion.”
Whether it was cross dressers, Lola, or Rocky Horror Show most of this is not new. Our former neighbor was a Marine that became Christy and held the highest position at the Boise Motive Power office. Later moved to venture capital in Seattle. Nice guy, and he was a balding man, deep voice, and wore women’s clothes and makeup. Took care of his property, and about six months before he left a rather burly woman moved in with him. I have no idea if Christy had gender affirming surgery, which has become the new twist to the story. The other odd thing is people insisting gender can be changed. Kind of like putting a Corvette engine in Volkswagen.
this convo is working on around four different levels. Gente, your libra comment was fair and probably accurate. No idea what Igy is doing here with my response but I'll just let it slide along.

gente is right, I have no idea about what he posts sometimes. On Twitter, I saw college men at University of Oregon making fun of a tampon dispenser in the men’s bathroom. Like here , a woke offended person had it removed. I think that is just crazy nonsense. You all share Your popular culture, so I feel free to share mine.
Nearly 27 million Americans have federal student loans in forbearance totaling $1.1tn or $41k/borrower. Interest payments are set to resume Oct. 1 after a 3-year moratorium. MS analysts see an economic hit in Oct. when spending levels shift lower due to higher debt service costs.
That's some record of performance. But timing is everything. For example, current price is at the same level it was some 2-1/2 years ago. Buckle up.
That is true but go back another year-and-a-half and it was at $16. It is at $265 now. He made $60 billion YTD when it started the year at $108 and he has made how much since 4 years ago?

I'd jump back onboard if it would just dip and offer up a better re-entry point.
I wonder how much Musk lost - or will lose - on Twitter.
On the other hand, here's Stifel in March 2023 saying buy buy buy and Stifel was correct. Took until June, not April, but that's a win. Market up c.13% since then.
Carl Quintanilla @carlquintanilla STIFEL: “The bearish chorus continues. . Some say it is a ‘bull trap’ .. They can call it a bear market rally, a bear trap or call it a banana .. we are not ignoring potential 6-month 10-15% rallies.” $SPX 4,300 by April 2023 “is still our view.” [Bannister]
I went and looked at the Belkin report dated June 2014 when the S & P was about 1900. He talked about how stocks were at their "bubble peaks." The S & P has now risen to around 4400.
Weird how insistent the Fed is about more hikes. They think inflation is running at 3.0%, PCE, on a quarterly basis. Sure, core is higher. But seems to me the Fed is jawboning, trying not to get people so excited about a pivot that assets inflate and force more rate hikes.
