I feel bad for the Kenyans, they've tried everything and still no solution for Bekele. What will they say about this year and what can they do next year?
The world cross country was filled with several amazing stories but the best were Kenny B. winning his fourth double, the perfect score by the Kenyan Junior men, and beautiful Tirunesh winning her first double.

Hats off to Ken Bekele. He is in a league of his own. I don't think there is any doubt anymore.

I work for Ericsson and I happened to be in Ethiopia this weekend on business. I ended up watching the race in a bar with a bunch of young guys and girls.. that were very enthusiastic. Some were actully Kenyan.
All the girls.. were sobbing the whole time cheering for Kenenisa.
I felt like this was the FA cup and my team had won the cup.
When Kenenisa finished the cross line and pointed to the sky ... the crowd exploded. they immediately shut the TV off and started to run outside to celebrate the win.
It was fun.
Tomorrow i will go back to Johnnesburg..
After the way he won his fourth World Championship X-Country double I think the rest of the world will find it equally hard in 2005 to defeat a healthy Kenenisa Bekele. The only way Kenenisa is defeated at this World Outdoors is he allow the 5000m to become tactial-I think he learned his lesson the last two years-and not force a sub 12:50 pace. Kenenisa is capable of winning the 5000m and 10000m at this World even if Hicham runs, if he blazes the last 3000m even if its off a slow pace in the 5000m.
The Kenyans have the talent to challenge Bekele in 3 of its juniors from the 2005 Gold Medal World X-Country team but will they stay healthy or in the sport long enough to mature in say 2-3 more years?

Will Kenny B. run in the last installment of the short course and be the only man to ever win it in its 5 year history. Can the Kenyans develop a plan in the next couple years to be ready for the Ethiopian when the World X-Country Championship is hosted by their country?
Kenenisa Bekele contemplating an early season 10000m possible at Hengelo on May 29, would like it to be a world record attempt but unsure.
Could the sub 26:20 barrier fall this year?

I think Haile could still win major Championships if he was healthy and Kenenisa wasn't around. Haile still got the wheels to compete on the track but he haven't stayed healthy long enough to prove that. Remember how he forged a sub 13 minute 5,000 in 2003 at the Worlds.
Can Haile break the Marathon World Record and Kenenisa the 10,000m World Record in 2005? Kenenisa is still looking for a meet to organize a world record attempt, my guess is Hengelo. If everything-weather and pacing goes great a 26:14.5 is quite possible for him in 2005.

How many times you going to bump this thread Vipam? You seem to have access to Bekele's exact training splits, because your inaccurate predictions are always crafted down to the tenth of a second.
How many times do we have to read one of your post stating for the 1,000 time you don't like his posts. The strange thing your posts are directed at him more than he replys to you. It LOOKS like you bumped it back to the top with your response trypothead. Don't continue reading and responding if you don't like someone's post or topic.
This is the first time I replied to the thread. This fact might escape someone who is "slow" upstairs such as yourself.
It's more than obvious Bekele is a great talent. It is irritating to have some random person copy and paste every single sentence the IAAF writes about him. Notice this was started in 2002 and still every day we hear about the 3200 Bekele might run in 2007. Who cares?
