Sure their best running days are likely behind them all, I definitely do miss it when they were all training like animals and hitting PBs, but it's still a brilliant podcast.
Inside Running Podcast - anyone still listen to this? Podcast seems outdated and tired now, the co-hosts are always injured/miserable, is the end near for this once popular but clearly dying podcast?
There’s only one podcast I unfollowed this week and it definitely wasn’t IRP…
Inside Running Podcast - are they close to binning it off? Viewer are dying, hosts always injured and miserable/boring episodes. Run out of decent guests. They appear to have run out of gas
Their last couple of podcasts have actually been some of their best recently IMO, including the interview with Cam Myers. I actually enjoy hearing about how life, age and injuries has gotten in the way for them at times - makes them feel more relatable to the rest of us who don't have time or are too injury prone to be knocking out 150km weeks as hobby joggers.
I have been frustrated in the past when they skim over analysis and results of major track races - because that's what I'm primarily interested in. However, I've discovered LRC and Coffee Club (at times) to fill that cup. All good.

Moose has been washed for years and his training week moans are excruciatingly painful, they just need to bin him off from this as hes not a runner anymore.
the other 2 seem to bang out massive mileage considering they are parents and barely seem to work - id love to know how they afford to survive off working a couple of days a week. i dont view them as relatable at all consdering there working week is fraction of most ppl and they have so much more free time than 99% of middle aged hobby joggers out there.
they need some vibrant young blood to reignite some bounce into the show and kick off Moose who's presents drags down the others

They were one of the OG Podcasts to sign-up for Patreon. Back when they first started, they still had the number of active patreon members visible. I'd guess they have over 500 backers, and at $10 USD for the tier that gives the show early and $15 USD for the extra shows, they make ok coin. It's definitely not enough to sustain 3 familes though. They all run coaching business and Brady/Brad still teach part-time.
I can't say a bad word about the IRP boys - I supported them on Patreon back before covid.
I don't think there's any decline in quality. As a previous commenter said, the episode with Cam 2-3 weeks back was one of the all time greats. They still put out heaps of interviews separate from the main show.

I hear what you're saying (i.e. Croker semi retirement in his 40s, while training like a professional), but may I suggest you stop listening if it is not your jam. Plenty of other Aussie podcasts out there.
Anyway, running: Pete Bol will be part of a stacked field at the Stockholm DL: Wanyonyi, Arop, Sedjati, Lutkenhaus, Wightman. An opportunity for him to run fast - these 800 guys will be chasing the WR in almost every race this year.
I still love the Inside Running podcast. They get great guests, the hosts I feel connected to and they are not promoting things. I also like their analysis of events. I do wish sometimes their running weeks recaps were shorter is all I would say negatively. But they are the OGs and the best still for sure. Add on the great relationships they have with so many return guests like Cam, Ellie, Jess etc. Anytime I hear they have a guest I know it will be great as they are so relaxed and open as they know the hosts so well.

They were at 500 with steady growth 6 years ago, and had doubled in the year previous. That was just before lockdown and since then running has gone from a niche to super mainstream. Particularly given podcasts and running go very well together
The Inside Running Podcast is listened to by around 35,000 runners each week both in Australia and internationally. It is consistently in the top 50 Sports Podcast on the iTunes charts with some ex…

See I actually feel the opposite, I hate when Brady says “I’ll whip through my week real quick” because I’m genuinely interested/invested in his training and I like when Moose & Croker try to poke holes in his training and vice versa. but I think that’s the brilliance of the show, there’s a little bit for everyone!

In Botswana, is that w4x400 the best we had? Were we resting two better athletes for the final, if we made it?

No we had to use Ellie and Mia for the mixed relay to ensure they qualified in that which we did. Now I imagine Ellie and Mia go back to the women's 4 x 400m repacharge today to make it that way to the world champs next year. It's a fine balance. Like we didn't use Cooper in the men's 4 x 400m either and he was used to strengthen the mixed also. As the aim is to get 6/6 teams through to China next year. So far we have 3/6
A huge shoutout to the men's 4 x 100m team fur a great run also and qualifying for the final and the next world champs. Imagine Gout and Eddie join it. What a team then. We are already great.
Question is do we put Lachy, Josh or Rohan or something in the mixed 4 x 100m tonight to ensure they make the world champs and risk our outside medal chances in the men's 4 x 100m?
The women's 4 x 100/ 400 m might both struggle to make China. We are really missing Bree and Ella in the 100m and the 400m in general we don't have huge stars atm, though we have some great up and comers like Carla Bull. Hope all 6 make it:)

I'm a big fan of IRP. Who cares if the IRP boys are injured or not running as much or getting older. We are all at different stages of life. I don't get the negativity on Moose either, just because he has had a run with injuries. He brings something very different with his personality than Crokes and Brady. He is part of what makes the show work and why it has lasted so long.
Also, besides the three hosts, they are regulary getting the best Aussie runners on the show and between the three of them they appear to have good connections across a broad spectrum of Aussie elites including Andy Buchanan, Cam Myers, Ellie Pashley, Leanne Pompeani, Izzi Batt-Doyle, Seth O'Donnell, Jess Hull and others which gives the show another dimension. still has a number of years left in it for me.

My take is this. Mixed 4 x 400 is through, so stack the mens who are a big medal chance. That mean subbing in Reynolds of Sherman for Hunt, but they can only do that if they were in the squad. Otherwise Zane Branco is there to sub for both perhaps.
next year we should stack our men’s 4x4 for sure, and add Eddie and Gout to the 4x1 on the straights

My thoughts too. Though Hunt did do well and we broke the long standing Aus record. But I think it's worth putting Cooper or Reynolds in to do even better hopefully.
As I think we will struggle in the mixed 4 x 400m anyway as I can't imagine Ellie and Mia will run it. But even if we have Reynolds still in the mixed and Hunt then I think we can do ok still

Interesting. Cooper isn't moving to the men's and is staying in the mixed as is the original team. Praying Mia doesn't get eaten alive again!
So the women's 4 x 400m have a very outside shot now with no Ellie or Mia. I reckon they are going for the ultimate champs over World champs. Which I kinda get as we have no teams in that plus it's good money and might take off.
Plus the women's 4 x 400m if they don't qualify can get the next best time somewhere.
