The left used to support Israel because they reflexively support the underdog no matter what the circumstances are. Once Israel won all the wars and established dominance over it's neighbors the left started to root for the Palestinians. Once the new woke left emerged and the idiots on campus found out that the Palestinians were browner than the Israelis on average the left's support for Israel disappeared.
