I have replied to this elsewhere, but on page 48 of the first report, you will note that age adjusted mortality rate in the boosted population is decreased by a factor of more than 10 when compared to the unvaccinated population.
That is tremendous value.
It does look like without a booster, the vaccines don’t provide very much protection (maybe a 10-20%decrease in age-adjusted mortality)

I agree with your post & you sum up things nicely. And of course there will be those like Harambe et al that are simply rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic & will never admit the vaccines are a failure.

I have several relatives, friends & acquaintances that felt pressured from the mandates & never wanted to take the shots in the first place. Some of them had post-infection immunity with previous bouts of Covid & didn't want to take the vaccine on top of that. And some didn't wanted to deal with the testing option either, if applicable, as they felt in would be too much of an inconvenience.

Yes, I feel for many of the people who were pressured by mandates, especially those who risked losing an established career and had a family to support. I know many people who got the first two shots, but swear they're done and won't get the booster. The problem is, as we're seeing across the world, "fully vaccinated" is an ever-changing term that simply incorporates the latest required jab. Nobody is ever "fully vaccinated," and in fact, the CDC is now using the term "up to date." Of course, the CDC simultaneously claims that "fully vaccinated" has not changed its definition.
It's all a game. In the end, it seems the best move was simply not to play. We don't know the long-term consequences, and we see governments and organizations (like in the UK) slowly starting to admit that continued boosters are not only a bad idea, but that the 'vaccinated' may suffer permanent reduced immune system functioning. As more and more evidence of this pours out, it will become virtually incontrovertible. Sadly, society has been so divided, that I fully expect many of the 'vaccinated' to lose their minds and irrationally attack the unvaccinated for their own personal health decisions. The masses have been brainwashed into the 'we're all in this together' mantra, which in reality was merely a way to guilt-trip people into stuffing Big Pharma's pockets. Can you show where the UK government has ever said this about boosters? They have never said they are a bad idea or suffer reduced immune system,the only thing they have said is we can't afford to jab everyone forever,which is common sense and also against what you anti vaxxers say.
So please so where the UK government have said this.
At this point probs best to just catch the illness and get over it. Possibly a wake up call for all the fat people in the West? And the olds will just have to tough it out or move on to 'what's next'.

NSW has a different dynamic than the US at this point. The primary reason is that the unvaccinated in the US have more likely than not had a COVID exposure, while in Australia, that likelihood is much lower. The reason Australia may ultimately have a harder time with Omicron necessarily than the US (not at that point yet as far as deaths, but appears to be trending that way, as case rates are considerably higher and took place later) is that their unvaccinated populations are much more likely to have had a previous COVID exposure. Omicron isn't necessarily in and of itself, it is just hitting more people who have either been vaccinated or had COVID in the past.

I find it ironic that a the Israeli study that underlines that boosters don't really prevent Omicron comes right after a posting that Hawaii is going to require boosters. Maybe it is time to reformulate the boosters instead of using boosters that were designed around a strain of COVID that was prevalent two years ago but pretty much no longer exists in the surveillance.

Im double vaxxed and boosted. Otherwise would have lost my job. Sitting at home with Covid as we speak. I've been told I am protecting others by getting the vaccination. I'm also being told not to leave the house so others don't catch it. I clearly am staying at home, but it appears that the staying at home part is what keeps others from catching it not the vaccination?
