I will give Coach JS his due though that fast 200s post tempo doesn't really translate exactly to race kicking because the fatigue levels are so different. My main theory is that 1.) we don't actually know much about how the human body works, and 2.) you don't really know the exact conditions you will be faced with on race days. Thus, it's best to toss in a mix of everything, but still try to mimic in training what you expect your target race to be like in the most reasonable fashion as possible.
