True but Vin is there now. Charlottesville is an amazing place to train, and UVA has great academics. She could be the building block that starts the program. (at least she would know rules and schedule for USATF events)

At ACC Cross this fall, UNC placed 8th and UVA 11th.
I understand the hype of these big name Coaches, but lets be realistic for a second these programs have a long way to go before they are more substance than hype. This is the ACC we are talking about, not really a powerhouse conference.
And keep in mind we aren't talking about a top state runner or a foot locker finalist, we are talking about a transcendental runner here.
Lastly, calling UVA an amazing place to train is a stretch. Sure there are some good dirt roads 20-30 min drive, but the rest of Charlottesville is a suburban sprawl. Hell Blacksburg is a better place to train than Charlottesville

Providence won in 2013 as well, though I’m not really sure where the teams train the surrounding community isn’t really conducive outside of being hilly...that being said nova has tired hands one of the countries best breweries right down the street and is in a nice area not the hood like pc

Funny, I was doing a race in Sandusky yesterday and saw a fish that washed up on the boat dock rotting. The head was still there but I could see the bones in the body.

Quite awhile back there was a top notch runner from Sandusky named Scott Frye 8:40ish --not sure what ever happened to him after hs.
Basically they're entire team transferred out last year and they got beat by Butler at Big East. Not exactly heading in the right direction.
