Yo how about some props for Andrew Lemoncello in 3rd - guy is 36, works a full-time job at adidas, is a pops to 2 wee nippers and hung with these young bucks for all but 2km of the race. He also ran 2.20.04!
THAT is impressive

I don't know Albertson, but I live in his neck of the woods and I was in two of the recent races at which he obliterated the marathon course records (Two Cities in November and Modesto two weeks ago). His ability to recover from very high-level efforts is just amazing. I don't know whether he has the talent to get from being a 2:16 guy to a sub-2:10 guy, but he's young and improving and one can always hope!
Bump
Bekele would run 2:17 in a toilet
never know what to think when people recover quickly from an effort like that...if it doesn't look or sound natural it probably isn't. brah.
