Just reading this thread for the first time.
I'll speak up for my questions of Gatlin. Gatlin returned to prominence in the sport and never had publicly said what happened with his suspension. I asked him about it. He got very defensive and told me to do his homework. The question made the "I AM Bolt" documentary so clearly some others felt it was a legitimate question.
I then read the entire CAS report on his case and tried a follow up question at Pre. He said something along the lines of "Are you with LetsRun" and I said "Yes". And he said "next question". Thankfully, Scott Reid of OC Register then followed up saying the question was legit.
But obviously now I don't ask Gatlin about drugs every time I see him. He still hasn't given a good answer in my opinion but I don't see the point of asking it every time.
I think it is unfair to brand him as a 2 time drug cheat and have written as much.
