Don't marry someone with poor genetics unless you are determined not to have kids. My dad is a masters-level physicist with a successful career in aerospace, but in spite of this, he has serious self-esteem issues and married a stupid woman--my mother--whose weakness enabled him feel masculine. It's been a complete disaster for him. Both of his sons are now in their 30s and neither will likely ever be be economically independent, me because I'm physically disabled and apparently not smart enough to do a desk job any more complex than working in a call center, and my brother because he is an utterly worthless human being who does meth and cannot deal with reality. My dad shot himself in the head by marrying an idiot, don't let the same thing happen to you.
